Summary: While I enjoyed this game initially with all the different kinds of ships and all the personalization capabilities the game's ugly side reveals itself towards the end. As players will find themselves running a gauntlet of endless grinding, game bugs, unbalanced PvP, as well as economic baggage that...
Summary: Over the past 10 years of gaming i have played hunreds of pc games. Over the past 12 months i have played most of the new releases and a lot of WOW but as a mature gamer i am anticipating the release of the new MMO Conan game so i thought potbs would be a good stopgap until it arrives.
Summary: Simply put, a terribly dull game. Sword fighting requires nothing more than button mashing, and open sea combat is painfully slow. Given that these elements make up 95% of the gameplay, there really isn't enough to do to warrant playing for more than a few days.
Summary: Well i grew up watching movies like the 'Crimson pirate' and loved the flair and swashbuckling atmosphere they had when i watched them in the early 80's and so i was looking forward to this game with eager anticipation, but unfortunately the game, although i did find parts enjoyable, isnt in way...
Summary: Firts things first - I am sailing in this game for 3 weeks now, and must say that I don't like what I have found so far. First of all - why the hell I have to wait for loading on almost every step? I go to shop - load, I go to magistrate - load etc, etc.
Summary: Lets cut to the chase - if you've ever played a game called "Seadogs" then you've played the land based bit of POTBS (including all the interminable clumping round towns to see people in different shops etc) - and if you've ever played a game called "Age of Sail" - then you've played the sea based...
Summary: OK.. the graphics are good and there is a much larger map than most of the other pirate games but I got bored straight away with this game. As many have already said, it is the same stuff as all the other games that you can get for much cheaper.
Summary: This game is shockingly complex and offers very little in the way of in-game tutorials to help noobs (like me) understand how to navigate what is a very large and complicated universe. If you're looking for a WoW experience, you've come to the wrong place.
