This game is the benchmark and example of what a fast paced shooter game should be like

Excerpt: ANSWER: a truly great fast paced first person shooter is the kind of game, that delivers an extremely well paced and balanced gameplay, is fast, has advanced movement techniques those require great skill, is challenging, is not aging, has great replay-ability, is technically sound, and most important - is professionally competitive in the arts of professional gaming.
Summary: So I guess this is still a problem. While I read the one review about the missing cd-key, all reviews since then didn't mention this as a problem, so I decided to buy the game figuring the issue was resolved. My game included no piece of paper with a cd key. I looked up the problem online, and found out that in order to obtain a key, I would have to email dreamcatcher my contact info, and a picture of my painkiller cd.
Summary: No where on the box does this say that it is a demo version, but it is. It's the same demo you can download for free, and legally, from many sites, including the Painkiller website. Don't waste your money on this.
This low review score is for Dreamcatcher's goof-up.

Summary: I got the Gold Edition of this game brand new in the mail and couldn't wait to start it up. I put in the first disc and everything was fine until it asked for the CD-Key. I searched the box over and over for it but it wasn't there. I thought I was going crazy. I have hundreds of games and NEVER had this problem before. I was sure that I'd lost it somehow. As it turns out, I went online to the Painkiller Gold forums and found out that I wasn't unique.
Summary: You gotta be kidding me... This is why I threw my DOOM game away! All this game is about mindless shooting! No plot to the game at all, just run around and kill things! Hey! I LOVE FPS but this is ridiculous! This is the first game I've bought in a LONG time that isn't worth the money. Oh sure, the graphics are ok, even a bit spooky, but geez, gimme a break! It must've been designed for mindless gamers without any other purpose other than to shoot things... What a waste!
Summary: Admittedly interesting up front, after playing for even 20 minutes had me yawning. Each fight is remarkably identical. Yes, the enemies are different looking, but it's the same door closing behind you and same 2-3 dozen monsters sailing in on you from all sides. The truly most annoying part of it is the exact SAME heavy metal music that plays during EVERY SINGLE skirmish. I mean, come on, is it too hard to have a few different tunes?! The graphics are average at best.
Summary: ..unfortunately. The game is bug ridden and all patches to day didn't fix even half of it -- patch 1.20 (the latest one) makes matters worse, it breakes the game on W9X machines and PCF failed to fix it w/ the last 3 weeks.. The MP mode only works in theory and there are almost no servers up w/ the version that may run on your setup (1.0, 1.15 or 1.20 -- not that it does matter, MP is unplayable). No map editor is/will be available and the technical support is a joke.
