Summary: In short, this game was gorgeous. I was in awe as I walked through the world, sending my minions to crush my enemies and friends at will. Fields were full of sun-kissed flowers swaying independently in the wind, and wonderful emerald waterfalls flowing peacefully into streams... as my minions chased down jumping, happy sheep grazing in the fields and ripped the life right out of 'em.
Summary: The best part of this game is the quirky humor. I found some of the puzzles and tricks to navigation a bit of a pain and didn't go all the way to the end, but it was WELL WELL worth playing just for the quirky humor and funny graphics and game play. Be prepared for some wild surprises! It is also so funny and crazy that it can be fun just to replay parts to have your little minions smash and destroy stuff.
Summary: Overall this is really fun game and I had a blast playing it. The controls are a little rough to get get used too but one you have it down it is a lot of fun. I would have gave it a five star rating but for me after I finished the game I didn't want to play it anymore. Possibly becuase I was about mid way through fall-out 3.
Summary: I really like the game. I bought it to see if I'd like it before spending $50 on one of the new ones for a different system. I would definitely buy the latest games. I had some trouble learning the controls. They aren't the easiest to use and take some getting used to. The most difficult part of it is controlling your minions. The graphics are fine and I have had no other problems so far.
Summary: There are VERY few games that are released on the pc that I would go back and play again a long time after it has been released. Overlord happens to be one of those games. Its combination of fun gameplay with a funny storyline makes this title an instant hit and a classic to be revisited. As an overlord, you visit different settings with your minions to accomplish different objectives. As you progress through the game, you unlock new minions with different powers.
Summary: This game is a great spoof off of any fantasy game/movie. The first level puts you right into a nice mid evil village that is rustic and beautiful and you send your minions to pillage and plunder it, it's very funny in that respect. It also has a lot of fun game play and a few types of minions so you can really strategize your method of combat. The levels are always changing so you never get sick of looking at the same scene over and over again.
Summary: If you enjoy classic gameplay, this might be the game for you. This game reminds me of a turn baised version of Close Combat 1-4. If you enjoy military simulation gameplay, you ought to pick it up. The graphics defuallt at 1280 x 960, 60hz; but are auto adjusted.
Summary: One of the best war games I have ever played. The graphics are not that great, but the gameplay is awesome. If you like the shot'em up type games then this game is not for you. If you like strategy and realistic type action this is the one.
Summary: Being evil is just plain fun, especially in this wacky take on the fantasy genre. The core of the game is in its minion system. Rather than doing much work yourself (you are the Overlord, after all) you puppet four different types of minions to banish enemies and advance through environments. This innovative mechanism makes combat fun, and since each minion type has its own advantages you'll constantly find new strategies.
