Excerpt: The Good : Outstanding graphics. Clean, simple interface The Bad : Minimal strategy involved. The Ugly : Nothing in particular. I completely understand that it’s becoming harder and harder for a game to distinguish itself in the RTS genre.
Excerpt: As developer doing again a game about World War II is a daring project as this conflict has been subject of a laundry list of games. An original approach is therefore more than welcome and although Order of War at first sight gives the impression to deliver nothing new under the sun, in the end it...
Conclusion: With all that said, Order of War does little to justify a purchase above the likes of CoH or Dawn of War II. The campaign modes are light on depth, and most seasoned players will breeze through before heading back to the heavy-hitters.
Excerpt: The real-time strategy genre takes a not-so-bold step into familiar territory with Order of War. Sure, it's World War II, and yes, we've been there and done that. Summary: Order of War is a World War II real-time strategy game distinguished by its accessibility and simplicity. It's easy to learn and easy to play, eschewing base building, unit-level micromanagement, and deep economics, but it's never boring and it offers ample challenge.
Pros: Fast-paced multiplayer action, Cinematic camera lets you take it all in, Easy to learn, easy to play
Cons: Repetitive soundtrack will haunt your dreams, Buggy German campaign, Only six multiplayer maps
Excerpt: Throughout time mankind has waged war. History books will tell you that humans have been fighting even before we started recording history. Over that time war has constantly evolved and intensified. Ancient Rome and China, Napoleon In many ways, Order of War plays just like your average RTS.
Cons: Geen speelbare Russen in campagne, Muziek eentonig, Slechte voice acting, Niets origineels
