Nox

Overstock
31 May 2006
  • Summary: This is a good rpg game with decent graphics and a fairly large inventory of weapons and armor. The plot is like most of them. You fight evil and become stronger and destroy the source of the evil. The only difference is in this you start out in a trailer park and you get sucked back in time or something. Kinda weird but nonetheless it is a good game. I bought it and played it through twice.

Ahh Nox

  • Summary: Good times have been had with this game. It's a little disconcerting that this quest based 3rd person game has all the Australian accents in the world, but you get over it. If you've played Diablo, this isn't it. It's much less horrible to look at and the maps aren't all randomly generated. You have three classes of character, Fighter: hit stuff with a variety of weapons, bit of chakrum action Wizard: cast spells and lay spell mines.

Nox - One of the best games I've ever played

BloodDoll, Ciao
12 July 2004
  • Excerpt: When I bought my new computer, the man who was building it asked if there was anything I would like putting on. I told him I wanted some good games. He never told me which he had put on. It was pure luck that I found this little gem. I was browsing through my computer looking for any little things that I hadn't found before when I came across a folder called 'Nox'. I opened it and clicked to run it to find it was a game. Out of curiosity, I started playing it.
  • Pros: Addictive, entertaining, well designed
  • Cons: Impossible to find if it is not already on your computer

Magic and Monsters.

  • Excerpt: Nox is a game in the mould of Diablo. It is based in the magical land of NOX, and the first thing that is noticable is that the intro summarises the storyline very well. Once the intro is over you have the choice of either playing as a warrior, a conjerour or a wizard. Each of these have their own characteristics, with the warrior only allowed hand to hand combat, the conjerour relying mainly on creating monsters to do your work for you and the wizard relying purely on...
  • Pros: Addictive singleplayer game
  • Cons: Poor multiplayer facilities

Nox - fun but limited

  • Summary: Nox is a fabulous game that enables you to spell cast, summon creatures and learn warrior tactics. The backdrops are detailed and colourful and some of the magic effects are fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the various styles of battle where you had to develop different tactics for different villains. Fire and run doesn't ALWAYS work.

  • Excerpt: The Nox is one of the Diablo type game....but of course better than Diablo(beside multiplayer mode....Diablo better). The Story are kinda funny...but it's has a great story.Ok....let's begin with graphic, Sound, Music, gameplay, story and overall. Now the graphic...it's not 3D graphic so don't need to worry about the 3D for this game but it's have a very nice graphic even without a 3D card support. If u like the Diablo graphic then you will surely like this game. The texture...

NOX NOX, WHO IS THERE

MDFK_uk, Ciao
8 December 2000
  • Excerpt: The first thing I noticed about Nox is its semi-subtle humor coupled with high production values. The opening sequence plays out like the very best in B cinema, with good graphics and voice acting telling the tale of poor Jack Mower. Jack's just an ordinary guy in a Florida trailer park. How ordinary? According to the manual, he'd "crush aluminum cans on his forehead to impress his girlfriend.
  • Pros: Funny, cool multiplayer
  • Cons: not as good as diablo or baldurs gate
