Don't work on newer Windows OS

aaron streit, Amazon
3 July 2013
  • Summary: This is a really great game that brings back fond memories of my youth but sadly, it doesn't seem to work on Windows XP. I'm guessing it won't work on any OS newer than that either. If you want this game go to GoG.com and download it for 2.99.

  • Summary: This is a good rpg game with decent graphics and a fairly large inventory of weapons and armor. The plot is like most of them. You fight evil and become stronger and destroy the source of the evil.

Loads of fun

I. M. Umoh "- Ivin", Amazon
7 July 2004
  • Summary: By now Nox is considered a pretty old game I'm sure, and it's long been discontinued by Westwood. Sadly, it will probably never see a sequel, as this game is much deserving. It was years ago that I played it, I couldn't stop talking about it at the time, and while it's not the most original game...

  • Summary: Nox is a fun little game. What it lacks in originality, it more than makes up for with excellent gameplay and performance. Considering how low the price is for this game now, it is definitely worth buying.

Fast, funny, and heaps of fun!

2 February 2001
  • Summary: While sitting in his trailer in a Florida trailer park, Jack Mower (along with his TV!) is suddenly sucked through a vortex into the quasi-medieval world of Nox. There he finds he's the only person who can rid that world of the evil and malevolent sorceress, Hecubah, and he can't go home until he...

Poor MP & Short SP, but Still Fun

Lisa Shea "be the change you wish to see in the world", Amazon
18 June 2000
  • Summary: I'm a huge fan of RP games, and review a ton of them... Atfirst glance, this game seems like a rip-off of many other games outthere. Diablo or Baldur's Gate, anyone? What original ideas. You can be a warrior, conjurer or wizard.

An Excellent RPG!

laffingnetizen "laffingnetizen", Amazon
17 May 2000
  • Summary: Nox has generated obvious comparisons to Diablo, but it is great in it's own unique way. The background animation is fantastic, and the on-line Player v. Player mode is a lot of fun. (allowing each player to "talk" to the other and "whisper" things to team-mates allows for great possibilites).
