The NOLF Franchise Has Died In The Second Act

Summary: A huge disappointment. NOLF 1 is one of my favorite video games of all time. Possibly the greatest marriage of story & interface in a title ever. I can't believe people can hold this sequel up to the original and think it even remotely compares. The graphics & AI are better. I'll give them that. Gone is the interesting storyline, clever, lol dialog, witty interface and 1960's zeitgeist.
Summary: I recently finished the original NOLF and was very impressed with it. I read good reviews of NOLF2 (here, among other places) which seemed to imply it was more of and better than NOLF, and decided to purchase it. I was in for some serious disappointment. The game is very much a case of one step forward, five steps back. While the graphics of the game have certainly been improved, the gameplay and story are very poor compared to NOLF.
Summary: I know there are a lot of NOLF fans out there but I didn't play NOLF 1, so I had no extreme expectations of this game. My computer is waaay beyond the recommended configuration, yet load times are about 20-30 seconds (which is unacceptable). I admit, graphics and sound are excellent but that's about it: the story is barely ok (with stupid story elements which are sometimes referred as "funny" - I think they sucked at best, some of them are downright offending (I'm not...
