Summary: As a huge fan of Baldur's Gate II, I was expecting a lot more from this game. The party system is not at all like BGII. There are no romances or banter to be found, unless you engage in the online play. That, in and of itself, was the most dissapointing aspect of this game. The rest of the game was ok. The graphics are pretty nice, a little cumbersome at times. The plot is fairly interesting, perhaps a bit too easy for some.
Summary: The Dungeons and Dragons features and game engine are impressive and well-done. Unfortunately, the game is noticeably clunky and ultimately could not hold my interest past 2 playing sessions. The gameplay is just too slow.
Summary: THIS IS FOR FALLOUT FANS ONLY! if you are a fallout fan, and looking for games like fallout. this is Not a similar game too fallout. so beware befor buying. i have this game and i am not satisfied with it.
Summary: This game was extremly disaponting. I am a hard core baulder's gate and icewind dale fan. I was looking forward to neverwinter nights as the next leval of play. It is the most thorough game yet with more spelles and classes than ever before it is lacking somthing however. It feels like an action game. The plot is boring and uncomplex, it failed to hold me for even an hour compared to icewind dale witch I was able to play all day.
Summary: I recently bought NWN Gold because I had heard so much good about. People I know who had been in love with Diablo 2/Warcraft/Starcraft quit it to play this. After a little over 12 hours of gameplay, I've concluded that this game overall, sucks. Why? A couple of major issues. First off, it's run online by gamespy network. Talk about a poor setup. The friends list takes 15+ minutes to actual find anyone on there that's online, and the overall feel is just...sloppy.
Disappointment after Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale games

Summary: I have enjoyed all D&D PC games since discovering them shortly after purchasing my first PC. I'm not a hack or programmer, just a regular person who enjoys fantasy and SciFi and really like the strategy and hard work necessary to beat the previous D&D games. I like finding lots of loot and saving damsels in distress, etc... However, I do not like NWN's focus on walking around, picking up one or two gold pieces, and hacking at a few smugglers now and then.
Summary: All right, I've tried to get into this one about as much as a fan of the Forgotten Realms can, but, I just don't like it. Here's why: the game is overwhelmingly cluttered with... stuff! Normally, I'd never knock that in such a title. Morrowind, Warcraft, and some other older turned based titles had as much, if not more "stuff" to contend with while playing. Yet, Neverwinter lacks something in its delivery.
Similar to Baldur's gate minus most of the fun.........

Summary: This game looks really impressive, but gameplay is inferior. I am a dedicated fan of the Baldur's gate series and have completed BG1 and 2 and the expansions. This game has the same feel and adds some abilities, but completely lacks the party system that makes the D&D games fun. The biggest drawback is that you can only have 1 henchman and cannot directly control him. This means that you can only experience the abilities of your own character.
