Not bad, not good.

  • Summary: The gameplay is really good, but the story is cliche and sometimes boring. If you are a fan of the series it is still a good purchase.

Nice addition to your EA racing games.

  • Summary: I have a Logitech wheel, so I buy as many racing games compatible with it. I have to admit, it plays better with a gamepad, it has some frustrating moments where you crash and crash again within the first 5 secs of game... The graphics are top notch for a third generation of Need for Speed games and I really like the mechanincs. It doesn't deserve 4 or 5 stars because the stages are less than 3 minutes each and I feels like its over too soon.

NFS The RUN - PC

Mr. John Briggs, Amazon
2 September 2013
  • Summary: As a high end PC gamer I sometimes like to catch up on games I missed at launch in the sales, NFS The Run is a typical example of a game not worth the RRP but is certainly worth the price in a sale. The game is pretty fun but at the time time can be very infuriating as some of the stages in the run mode are deliberately geared up with AI that cheats to win even when it would seem out of the race the named rival characters can zoom in to lead when they had no means to do...

Fun but flawed

Timothy J. Vogel, Amazon
18 June 2013
  • Summary: I've shelled out money on the entire franchise (except for Shift and console-only) for over 20 years, and have finally started to roll my eyes at where it's ended up. Still, I'm hooked enough to play this, and am enjoying it. Pros: 1) I really enjoy the cross-country theme. Not much is repetitive, and that's a huge deal to me. 2) Graphics are pretty sweet. 3) (SPOILER) Avalanche. Wow. Seriously, WOW.

a good game, that is frustratingly hard at times

brett6598, Ebay
5 June 2013
  • Summary: need for speed the run, the game follows a simple plot of a man, wanted dead by the mob, trying to earn back his freedom, in this case a cross country street race with 250 other drivers. the game looks visually stunning, the background vistas, and car details are great. the game starts out really great, but it quickly becomes extremely frustrating....

Failed attempt

AK, Amazon
28 December 2012
  • Summary: Single player was a lot of fun. Good job in making the player feel like they are traveling across country with region built maps. Multiplayer is horrible. No punk buster support or anything. What few players that are still out there chest pretty bad. Lastly, almost all of the cars available are not used by the player. The single player story only uses 4 & 5 star cars, so if you own a car in real life that is in the game, you won't be using it.

Just run away.

Keyan, Amazon
9 December 2012
  • Summary: Too many corridor-based Runs in "the run" for ut to really be exciting. I was hoping that you would be driving against a hugr field of competitors. It seemed rare for there to be more than 8 cars per track. This was incredibly disappointing.
