Summary: I got a French copy, so I must plunge thru & find the English the files to figure it out, inlieu of reading the booklet, (things I typically multitask on the john . . .) It seems that you MUST log onto Origin's website to play this game, you must be online? I got it for my toddler, major pain in the butt to HAVE TO log on-line! Once you start a race, even the TRAINING lap, there seems to be NO WAY to ESC, stop / or quit the game without shutting off the PC!!
Summary: This is probably the worst of the so-called sim racing games. Nice try EA games, even the patch didn't help much. The tracks are great, the cars look great. But thats where it ends. Imagine in a real life situation where you run into the guard rail; does your vision blur and the colors go to grey? This was somebodies idea of realism? I sold my hardcopy on eBay.
Summary: ***EDIT*** I finally played it with my gamepad, totally frustrated all the way through. . So I finally decided to try to finish NFS Shift... . Well I must say the Graphics are really nice!! . It's NOT a SIM, not even close to a SIM! . It's an Arcade game, no doubt about that. Car crashes galore and you might as well get tough and learn to bump others off the track, because the AI cars will take you out!
Summary: this game is ok. Sorry I can't say its a great addition to the need for speed family but it is fun to play, it does kinda remind me of a few other games that downplay the performance of the american cars.
Summary: The first game I purchased for PC was NFS Hot Pursuit, which I found to be pretty entertaining. Shift is much more a SIM than a game, and that's not what I wanted. I am disappointed, but for someone looking for a SIM should be very pleased. The options regarding game controller sensitivity are very thorough, which is a nice touch for a SIM.
Was a pain to get going, but starting to get fun now

Summary: The graphics for this game are great - I have it running HD 720p from my computer to my plasma (will try 1080p, but not sure if my CPU and GPU can keep up...). Unfortunately, it took all day to get this working. Here are some tips: - Pay attention to the minimum requirements - a lot of people in the forums had issues if they didn't have the right CPU or especially graphics card - Get the latest "PhysX" driver from NVidia - Get the latest drivers for you video card -...
Summary: I had a really tough time finding a reason to enjoy the game at first. It seemed ridiculously slow to install, I could have copied five data DVD's to my computer in the time it took to copy this one game. Plus my normally quiet DVD drive was making some really awful noises during the install. A half hour later it was done and I boot it up just to find I could not exit out of the game.
Summary: ~opinions~ -I think that there should be more upgrades than what we have - Putting vinyls on the sides suck because there is no way to get the game to snap one on the left to the same position on the right so it looks even (if that makes since) -I think online play would be alot more fun if you could use a headset to talk with the other drives on long races -Many online drivers are stupid and will pit you the first chance they get
Pros: Graphics are amazing
Cons: -If you don't have a steering wheel, you might as well not buy the game, any fast cars will be WAY too hard to control with a keyboard -Again... If you don't have a steering wheel, forget drifting -Need WAY more cars...
