Need for Speed: ProStreet

Need for Speed: ProStreet is a racing video game that was developed by Canada’s Electronic Arts. It is the 11th installment of the Need for Speed series and was released in November 2007.

Plot

Players of Need for Speed: ProStreet control the character of Ryan Cooper, a former street racer who seeks to be the best racer in the country and become known as the Street King. To achieve this, players must dominate a number of challenges against kings from different racing crews for drag, drift, grip, and speed. Only when the player has dominated enough showdowns will Ryan Cooper be able to race against Ryo Watanabe, the Showdown King. The player will become the Street King only when he has beaten the Showdown King. The Street King will hold all the crowns as king of all racing crews.

Cars

In the PC version of Need for Speed: ProStreet, there are a total of 55 playable cars. A Collector’s Edition can be downloaded to add on 5 new cars. There is also a Booster Pack that is available for download. This Booster Pack adds 16 playable cars. Should the player download both add-ons, a total of 76 cars can be used.

Customization

With Need for Speed: ProStreet, players can choose from a number of decals, vinyls, and paint colors. They can also modify the rims, hoods, body kits, mufflers, spoilers, and roof scoops of their cars. In addition, the game offers an Autosculpt feature which allows users to make specific modifications that directly affects the car’s performance.

System Requirements

Need for Speed: ProStreet can run on Windows XP and Windows Vista. It requires at least a 2.8 GHz processor (3.0 GHz for Vista) and 512 megabytes of RAM (1 gigabyte for Vista). A 128-megabyte graphics card that is DirectX 9.0 compatible and has support for Shader 2.0 is needed. It also requires a DirectX 9.0 compatible sound card.
