Summary: Yeah. Need for Speed Carbon is a little different than other series. He is trying to bring more story / action than other titles in the series. Unfortunately, the story is not so good. The thing I liked most is that the new mechanics introduced in the 4 "bosses".
Summary: Most of the game elements are simply direct clone from the 2005 NFS Most wanted, with addition of unnecessary elements like crew member, compulsory cop chase and racing for territory. And all races are now conducted at night only. This is just too boring. PC version also suffers from stability issues, most likely due to the poor program codes and in game cut scenes.
Summary: Unfortunately, no matter how much I tried, I could not get the game running on Windows 7. No amount of patches or compatibility tweaks will make this game work for me. I know this game is great, and it is a shame I can't play it on PC. I guess I will have to settle for PS3 or Xbox 360. As a side note, the PSP game is just as great. I would give that game 5 stars.
Summary: I thought overall the game was just a bit better than most wanted. The customization was better, allowing ride height to be changed and more performance customization details. Autosculpt was a great feature and also you can move the vinyls, skew, rotate, and change colors. I was disappointed though that many things in the game had to be unlocked by completing challenge series or reward cards, where in most wanted you had to beat bosses.
Summary: Carbon is THE BEST of the NFS games we've played so far! The canyon racing is challenging, and it's cool to watch your car go flying off a cliff when you hit the flimsy guardrail. You get to win some cool cars, too.
