Good game, but has network issues for online play
16 June 2012
Summary: The single player is fun, for a bit, but the real great part of this game is the online play with friends (or strangers). I would recommend this for friends to get and play online together. However, if you are all on the same network (very similar IP addresses) the game starts to have problems. Creating a friends game is next to impossible, so you have to play the auto match.
Summary: Not a bad game for online play but I was hoping for more backstreet driving and allyways. Most Wanted is still a way better game and Need For Speed has never really got anything right since then. Being able to be a cop is cool and weapons for racers and cops is a good idea. All I all a good game only if you have online races.
Summary: The Hot Pursuit games of the Need For Speed series were always my favorites. This iteration is very fun to play despite some issues. The goal is not only to win races but also elude the cops. It's the same concept from the previous games. The ability to deploy spike trips, jammers, EMP's and turbos give you the ability to dish it out to the cops is a nice addition. But the recharging nitrous booster could have been left out.
Summary: When I made this purchase at amazons web site I was under the impression I would be downloading direct to PC at least that's what I thought, but behold it went from direct download to a disc which I did not order from what I thought was being purchased from amazon.com....but in reality was being purchased thru a 3rd party vender by the name of 1st video their was nothing about a disc or information regarding what type of system was required .
Summary: Overview: As a summary, I think Need For Speed 3: Hot Pursuit is relatively fun but it should have a lot more realism than it does. It is low in realism especially when concerning graphics. Cars: The car selection contains a good variety of driving characteristics including top speed and handling. The cars maneuver realistically. Locations: This is where I downgrade the program. The graphics look too simple with few color shades.
Summary: The series is the greatest thing to hit a PC. This one is older but my kid wanted it so I tried it...All PCs in the house are Vista and it will not play in compatibility mode. We will put it on an older machine someday and then we will see. We own all the others so trust me, it is a good generic pill for the need for speed!! Definitely to old for vista! And it is hard to play on XP even...so we just don't play it...Sorry folks..
Summary: I am a big fan of the NFS series. When I first played Hot Pursuit, it was terrific. Especially after getting addicted to the NFS series from playing High Stakes, I had high hopes for Hot Pursuit. Unfortunately, after a few hours, the game became a bit of a disappointment. Unlike High Stakes, you can't modify the cars, of which, by the way, you don't have as many choices. You're not given a chance to earn any prize money to upgrade or trade in your car.
Summary: Even though my friend and I love playing the game, there are a couple drawbacks to this one. One, the graphics aren't as good as the PC version. Two, you can't be the cops which is what I love in the PC version. Three, there aren't that many cars to choose from. This is the main reason why I gave this game three stars. I can think of a ton of more cars to put in this game. This is the same flaw in the PC version. Not enough cars.
Summary: NFS:HP definitely offers a fun experience but it is also riddled with flaws. The Good: -The graphics are flawless and the car collection is huge. -There are several different modes to play through such as Hot Pursuit, Time Trial, Duel and so on. The Bad: -The music is fairly generic and after a few hours of playing, I had to just turn it off and resort to my own playlist -The menu system is pretty bad.
