Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit (PC): Get hot and bothered in pursuit of perfection
24 March 2011
Summary: Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is a decent game for the PC. However, I find it does not run very well on my XPS with a 512MB NVidia Graphics card (more the fault of my system rather than the game). That said, it does run fine on an i3 system with inbuilt HD graphics! However, when it does run well, it looks slick. The graphics are fantastic, with sharp lines, great reflections in teh rainwater, noticebaly different and "realistic" handling in different weather conditions.
Summary: Buy it then sell Porsche Unleashed. It is worth your money cause High Stakes is on their and you'll love that game buy it, and you'll be satisfied. But Hot Pursuit 2 takes up alot of room, so have a fast computer.
Summary: I have a blast with this game. If you have all the requirements plus more than there should be no problems. The thing I hate most is the one camera view. The view you drive in is the view you get to see on playback after the race. I still love this game and will play it lots more.

Excerpt: "...before!! I bought Need For Speed 4 long ago and from then, Electronic Arts the company, has released another game Need For Speed 5 : Porsche Unleashed (2000) which was released in the year of 2000 all over the world. The game has the same features like its older brother Need for Speed 3 which has the cops and a wide range of cars. But in NSF 4 the cops have backups and many cops on the same track. Electronic Arts (EA) has put more attention ...
Pros: Wide range of cars, pretty good tracks, lots of cops, all kinds of weather cond . , music is ok
Cons: not up to the mark graphics, not good handling of the cars, not a very attractive menu, artificial looking envrn .
Summary: Well, I also read that four out of the five games were only made to be used on Windows 98, but I installed them on XP anyway and they all work well. The best game in the pack is Hot Pursuit 2, which is worth the 20 bucks alone. The other games are outdated, but they are still fun to play when bored.

Excerpt: "...game. * The Game * The successful Need for Speed series from EA games is just now having its seventh episode released, so let's see what the most recent one was like. When the third part of the series, Hot Pursuit, was released, it was quite a hit, giving gamers a taste of the excitement of speeders and traffic cops racing at high speed. It has gotten the sequel it deserves, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 (hereafter NFS6). It is much like its ...
Pros: An entertaining arcade racing game with expertly designed tracks, nice graphics and the unique Be a Cop mode .
Cons: No damage, very limited interaction with surroundings, brainless bus drivers .
Summary: First off let me say, yes you can use a wheel, I have a USB wheel and it works fine. Secondly there are more than just 4 tracks. I counted 12 in the game (and I'm not talking about mirrored tracks). And there is a cheat to unlock them . . . Now let me say, I have played almost ALL of the latest driving games, F12002, Rally Trophy, Nascar, etc., and when I bought this game I thought I would just give it a try to see what it was like because it was discounted.
