Summary: Take Two really needs to step it up with the PC version. Many of us like to play on PC and we complain year after year, but since there is no alternative we basketball fans are forced to buy the same mediocre product year and year. There's no excuse not to give us the upgraded visuals of the PS4 or Xbox One versions... unless they were paid off by Sony/MS not to do so.
Pros: A decent basketball simulation game, very similar to the previous games in the series. Plays just like you expect it to. Good presentation.
Cons: Barely any changes from previous titles, poor last gen graphics, inferior version of the game. Same poor optimization for PC year after year.
Summary: So I bought this game for PC since PC is where I prefer to play my games but I also own an Xbox 360 and I had an Xbox One. The differences between the 360 and PC were non existent. They were the same game which is totally fine but then I bought it for the Xbox One and it was a completely different game. That is my problem. We all paid for this game but why is it the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 get a totally different game for the same price as everyone else?
Summary: The players basically do whatever they want. I can try to control them, but it is usually to no avail as 2k14 does whatever it wants whenever it wants. I have had my complaints with other sports games (a very big soccer franchise...), but this is on a whole other level of bad. I never thought that after playing a game, I would get rid of my complaints in another game. I also did not like how the game's style was.
Summary: what a waste of money! like most of the other reviews say, this game looks like a ps3 game. missing so many things that the ps4 and xb1 versions have, such garbage!!! it really makes no sense why the pc version was neglected, not even a lousy update!!
Summary: A friend and I thought we'd buy this game to ya know...play versus each other? Impossible to do without jumping through a horrible interface and a lot of hoops. I've been playing games for a loooong time now and this is by far the worst port I've ever seen. How do you make an online sports game and not have the ability to play against friends with ease?
Summary: Love the game! huge upgrade from NBA 2k12, good graphics, love NBA Today, real arena sound FX. There is one thing though, im not sure if its just me, or i may not be doing something right, but on NBA blacktop, it doesnt have all of the players on the team when i go to select who i want to be, if anyone knows how to get this to work, please let me know. But overall, I would definetly recommend buying if you love basketball, great game!
