Summary: Bought the game for empire total war but the disgusting pill of crap they try to call napoleon total war was also shipped in this box and I had to perform a ritual burning to cleanse my soul after the torture they call napoleon total war. Empire was good though.
Summary: A total nightmare to install. Does not work well with Windows 8. The game itself is good. I'd give it 5 stars. That said however, if you have access to a fast internet connection and aren't running Windows 8, you'll probably be happy with this. Otherwise, be prepared for a quirky install from the disk. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When it does, be prepared to wait for a couple of hours while it loads upgrades.
Excerpt: When I was a wee lad, I used to run to the convenience store each month to buy the newest X-Men comics that I could find. I love the artwork, exciting stories, and of course, the characters. I would often imagine myself having such cool powers. I may have aged a bit since those days, but I still love the X-Men. While I do not collect the comics, I definitely jump at any chance to watch any new movies or, in this case, play one of their videogames.
You can't go far wrong with this game but you could go better with Empire.

Excerpt: Continuing from 'Empire: Total War' this game starts you in the early 1800s as you try to prevent Napoleon's conquest of Europe. Playing as one of the members of the Coalition your goals are to capture or liberate territories under the control of the French Empire and engage in combat with Napoleon's army to bring his reign of terror to an end. Experienced 'Total War' players will both be impressed and disappointed by this offering in the series.
Conclusion: Dont get me wrong, Napolean is a brillaint addition to the total war series. The animations are outstanding, the use of new tactics is a good challenge to get to grips with, and the naval warfare is just breathtaking.
If you were expecting a full fledged game, you'd most certainly be disappointed

Excerpt: Napoleon Total War is one of the many games in the Total War series of real time strategy (RTS) games. By all means this game should be considered an expansion pack, but apparently low on money, publisher Sega decided to skip the norm and go ahead and make Napoleon a stand alone game, which means they can charge $40 for the package instead of the usual $20. Is it worth the $40 price tag? We're about to find out.
Worth a look if you're a die hard fan of the series.

I joined the series at Rome Total war, a friend lent me the disc but I put off playing it for a while as I didn't think it looked any good, how wrong I was.
