  • Excerpt: Graphics & Sound: Moscow to Berlin: Red Siege is a historical retracing of the steps that both Germany and Russia took as they ended their truces and Germany entered a third front during WWII. The problem with retracing history is that you need to have more than just accurate models to look at. They boast an improved A.I. system, but the changes made were not enough to take this game out of an ordinary RTS experience and long history lesson.

  • Excerpt: There is no shortage of war based, real-time strategy games for the PC, so Cinemaware already has to face a glutton of competition with their release of Moscow to Berlin: Red Siege. The game highlights the main battles between the Germans and the Soviets in World War II and allows for play on both sides. Just as the timeline suggests, the gamer first plays as the Germans and shifts to the Russian side when the tide of the war turns.

Moscow to Berlin: Red Siege Review

20 July 2006
  • Summary: There's no shortage of World War II strategy games on the market, and Moscow to Berlin does nothing good to stand out from the pack.
  • Pros: Some of the destructible environments and explosions look pretty
  • Cons: Dull, unoriginal World War II real-time strategy, game can be a micromanagement nightmare, dated graphics that looked old two years ago
