Well done puzzle game
15 December 2014
Summary: I loved playing Clash of Heroes on the Xbox 360, and when I traded up for the Xbox One I went into CoH withdrawal. Glad to pick it up (for cheaps!) for my PC. Clash of Heroes is a variant on the match-3 puzzle genre. In a nutshell, you match 3 horizontally to make a wall and defend your side, or match 3 vertically to attack the other player. There are some piece variations and a few specific puzzles where you need to hit a certain target, but generally that's the idea.
Summary: This game is a mixture of tetris, and a very light rpg. You follow the stories of each of the 5 characters during a time when the demon world attemps to invade their world. There are puzzles, grinding, artifacts, and a light sometimes funny story. The character you control and their troops level up with experience. You have rows and colums of troops and your enemy has them. You have to arrange like type and color troops to form attack or defense.
Summary: I am currently a huge fan of King's Bounty and by relation all of the M&M series as well. I also enjoyed Puzzle Quest and the various spin offs of that one as well. Although the production on this is quite good, the strategy can become somewhat confusing and the overall story line just wasn't my cup of tea. Even so, this is a good turn based strategy game for the money.
Summary: I failed to notice the "E" rating, which would have alerted me to the likelihood that the game is intended for young people. Kids might give the game a higher rating. The game play takes place within a window, not full screen, and the window won't expand. The characters move from space to space. If a character encounters a space occupied by an adversary, the scene changes to a "battle board".
