Summary: Game's okay. Ranger Mode Hardcore is terrible though, considering it basically requires you to play through the game once on an easier mode to even understand what's going on. Ranger Hardcore removes any hud so it's impossible to select your throwable weapons by any means other than guessing and hoping you scrolled your mouse to the right item. Also it doesn't give you any notification for ****ing QTEs so you'll be stuck dying on those too.
Summary: I want to give this game five stars for how unique the Metro environment feels. Three things detract from the overall experience. - Engine can feel janky at times. - Fights are never just challenging. They're either mind numbingly easy or insanely hard. - The entire story is like a Metro....it's on rails. Some of the scripted scenes are written 3 times longer than they should be and become boring.
Summary: I'll make this as brief as I can; Graphics: 7/10 They seem dated and the palette they've used continues to be a washed out set of greys, browns, and black hues. I get it, post apocalypse wasteland etc, but the organic life doesn't have to blend in with the rest of the scene. -1 The ambiance is good, gives you a creepy vibe and feel to it, like something is just not right, and adding tension to the game +1 Another cool feature [but a bit useless] is when your mask fogs...
Summary: The overall graphics are very good. However the game is too dark and difficult to view. It is also easy to head the wrong direction etc and waste time to get back to the plot. Using the compass and lighter as a guide is useful but still difficult. I even have to go online to find a u tube or tutorial to help get "unstuck" . So it needs to be a little more user friendly for guidance and lite up for me.
Summary: I have to admit that the graphics and sound are on par with most of the other first person shooters out there. If you never played the previous, like myself, you might loose a bit of the back story since they don't go to much into the previous stories from the other games. The game play can be interesting at times since there is no HUD, other than the basic ammo indicator when you switch weapons and reload.
Summary: -Very linear game besides the choice to kill or not to kill to get the alternate ending don't expect a lot of choice making. -Not a lot of money (which towards the end of the game will matter greatly)I will explain this later. -Your limited to 3 weapons you cannot pick up other weapons to trade in for extra money. -You cannot hold extra items that you find (but you have the ability to sell your limited items) this makes no sense to me at all.
Summary: The graphics are first rate, the gameplay is non-stop, the plot is decent, I paid $50, I played for about 10 hours and finished the game. If I knew the game was so short I would have waited till it was less than $25. Right now Arkham and Arkham asylum are $12 for the pair. Mass Effect is #5 - not the same quality or level of game, but a much better value. It's a great short, very short, game.
