  • Summary: This DLC is basically a scam. Ranger mode was hailed as the "Way it's meant to be played" and is locked behind a pay wall. That's not the only bad part, either. Ranger Mode itself is flawed. If you want the real experience, you play on Ranger Hardcore mode ( there is a separate "Ranger" mode which i didn't play). In Ranger Hardcore, you lose every single piece of your HUD. This is where the problem is. There is no notification for quicktime events.

  • Summary: Chronicles is a short 3 mission DLC that shows you what some of the characters of the Metro universe were doing while Artyom was on his mission. The missions are okay, but except for the Anna mission where you snipe mutants, they really don't add anything new to the game. Recommended only for achievement hunters or big fans of the series who want some additional back-story.

Excellent Continuation of Metro Franchise

  • Summary: I accidentally stumbled upon Metro 2033 in a sale and instantly fell in love. Since then I have been waiting impatiently for the sequel. I just got a chance to pick up and play Last Light over the weekend, and I love it as much as the first, although for different reasons. I'll try to be as vaguely specific as possible as to not spoil the first or last game for anyone, but you should be able to look up what I'm talking about with the details I've provided.

It isn't just the game

  • Summary: You have to have STEAM to play the game. Just like Origin it makes the games run laggy and bogs down the pc. I should have read a little more I would have skipped it.

I nice change of pace from modern shooters

  • Summary: A friend recommended this game to me, knowing I was not a fan of modern shooters, but suggest I start with the first game in the series, Metro 2033, which I did, and I thoroughly enjoyed. This game picked up where the first ended. The storyline is good. If there are any negatives, maybe some of the cut scenes were too lengthy, but it's certainly not a deal killer. And the go go bar was a nice touch as well!!

Fun Shooter

  • Summary: Just recently finished this and metro 2033. Both games have pretty good story lines and shooting mechanics. I found myself wanting to explore every area in the metro to see the sights as well as the history in the game. This is a good game and worth buying if you don't mind it being on steam.
