Summary: I have played this game for years. Still like it. My old disk was getting worn and intermittent. This new package doesn't require the three disk installation of the old one, and plays every time.
Summary: good game! great fun for an older game well worth 20 bucks for a total war fan. had a few problems getting it to work on new win 7 laptop but a quick copy and paste of certian files fixed it in a heartbeat. otherwise works good alot of fun and well worth the money. i would buy it again.
Summary: When I bought this, I was expecting a respectively hard and involved game. I got what I wanted in full. This is not a game friendly to casual gamers or ones who like uncomplicated games, you can't just pick it up and learn it within minutes, but I don't consider this a fault personally. It is very rewarding once you find out where everything is and know how to use it when.
Summary: Strategy games are my favorite genre and this is one of my faves in my collection. It's not as fast-paced as, say, Stronghold, but it's a nice change from the usual strategy games like Age of Empires. It has a fairly high replayability, but can test your gaming endurance. Summary: I am an avid student of military strategy and I purchase and play just about every strategy game that comes along. Medieval: Total War is by far my favorite. Having said that I still have one major bone to pick with this game and seemingly every strategy game. I noticed that as I selected harder and harder levels, that the AI's tactics did not change at all, it was still extremely easy to out maneuver and outsmart the computer, however the game 'cheated' more.
Summary: Usually games of this nature are very small scale and require countless tedious tasks to gather the resources you need to grow your kingdom. With Medieval Total War I was pleasantly surprised. The premise of the game is excellent as are the battle sequences. The pros and cons of the game are as following: Pros: - Excellent story and historical accuracy. The inticracies of medieval europe is portrayed well.
Summary: Like most reviewers here, I was a huge "Shogun: Total War" fan and thus was looking forward to Medieval: Total War. However, my first playings of MTW left me feeling a little disappointed. It looked great and I've never had any technical problems with it, but some of the same design flaws that took some of the luster off STW remain.
