So good you can see through time

Game Debate
3 July 2008
  • Excerpt: People who play wargames want detail. They want to see the type of sword a guy is wielding; they want the man to be part of a formation that serves the tactical purpose it was intended for. His toga or tunic should flap in the stormy weather, which in turn should influence the archer units accuracy. A spear unit should cause mayhem to a cavalry squad and yet be cut to ribbons by a heavy hitting infantry unit. And it had all better be historically accurate.

Medieval II: Total War

ActionTrip
17 November 2006
  • Conclusion: If you think Rome: Total War was an exciting and challenging strategy, you should try Medieval 2 on for size. Take the time to enjoy every aspect, from diplomacy, trade, politics, religion to warfare and real-time clashes on the battlefield. The variety of units is amazing and it's easy to get caught up in multiplayer skirmishes. Granted, infrequent AI bugs may cause a few annoying moments, but that can easily be fixed with an update in the near future.
  • Pros: New units, new factions, more possibilities in the turn-based mode, detailed visuals and excellent sound;
  • Cons: AI bugs, steep hardware requirements.

Medieval II: Total War

Empire Online
4 October 2007
  • Summary: Following in the wake of its illustrious, million-selling predecessors, the chances of Medieval II cocking it up the Total War franchise are slimmer than Dita Von Teese’s waist. But even though strategy gamers are already well-versed in this stellar series’ complex ways, this latest instalment is still an incredible achievement.

Medieval II: Total War

Fragland

Gry - Wirtualna Polska
3 June 2008
  • Excerpt: XXI wiek, choć trwa zaledwie kilka lat, zapracował sobie już na niejedno miano. Wielu ludzi uważa, że żyjemy w dobie powszechnej komputeryzacji i łatwego dostępu do Internetu, inni z kolei twierdzą, iż najbliższe sto lat będzie okresem licznych wojen domowych, zamachów terrorystycznych czy też kataklizmów ekologicznych spowodowanych ociepleniem klimatu.
