Medal of Honor Review (PC)

Gamers Daily News
21 October 2010
  • Summary: A good release for the PC without any real hinges on launch. Single player was great, but really short. Multiplayer is very fun and entertaining but I personally feel like this game will be short lived without more maps, a problem that could have been solved with the ability to mod maps.

The Gamers Temple
19 May 2008
  • Excerpt: Date: 7/19/2005 Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault (MoHPA) is as much interactive movie as it is action game, and one with pretty high production values at that. It is a game filled with atmosphere, authenticity, and an overriding aura of respect for the men and women who actually lived through the...

Expert Review

GameSpot
4 November 2004
  • Summary: Nearly three years ago, Electronic Arts brought its Medal of Honor series of World War II-themed first-person shooters to the PC in Medal of Honor Allied Assault, and that game went on to become highly influential.
  • Pros: Believable Pacific theater environments, Often-impressive enemy artificial intelligence, Some cool verge-of-death moments, Solid objective-based multiplayer mode
  • Cons: Long loading times, Some occasionally buggy artificial intelligence, System hog--tough to get smooth frame rates out of this one

Medal of Honor review

Gameplanet
29 March 2008
  • Excerpt: Can EA's Medal of Honor reboot capture the popular support of an FPS community largely spoilt for choice?
  • Pros: Excellent visual effects, and superb audio. Dedicated servers for online multiplayer should keep PC owners happy. Several campaign chapters get the adrenaline flowing.
  • Cons: Rubbish AI, inexcusable bugs and a nonsensical story. Luke-warm ending to campaign. Weak multiplayer, neither DICE nor Danger Close really push the limits of their capabilities on this one.
