Games based on World War II have become easier to come by than a Klingon at a Star Trek convention these days, especially on the PC. It can be argued that the Medal of Honor series helped pioneer the WWII shooter, and in a lot of ways, it did. The last installment of the series, Allied Assault was a great success, and now hot off its heels, we have Pacific Assault. Does Pacific Assault have what it takes to mirror the success of the series last installment? Well, a bit... Read more

Even as it is, the game is hella fun to play. This is a quality title with some nicely designed missions that gradually increase in both difficulty and pace, making the single-player game well-balanced and engaging throughout. Of course, jaded WWII shooter fans won't find anything particularly new or overly exciting about this title. The missions are still very linear and some of them are more railed than others, showing perhaps signs of inconsistent level design.... Read more

Created by 2015 and Electronic Arts, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault was a huge PC hit and inspired the release of two official expansion packs. Now Electronic Arts's Los Angeles studio (Allied Assault co-developers and Spearhead expansion makers) has released the next stand alone PC game in the series, Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault. Medal of Honor Pacific Assault puts you in the boots of a WWII soldier in the Pacific theater of operations (1941-1944). As Marine Private... Read more

Like the campaign, overall the game has its strong and weak points. On the downside, you have very long load times and missions that vary widely between intense and enjoyable and repetitive and frustrating. But when it shines, MoHPA is a gaming experience that approaches a masterpiece. Read more

This game runs great on my pc. Excellent graphics and sound. I play it using the "detailed, advanced graphic" option..don't remember what it's called. Anyway, make sure you got plenty of RAM and a very good video card! I have about 2 gigs of RAM and a 1 GB nVidia video card, using the S-Video jack as the output goint to my HD TV (crystal clear HD picture). Getting out of the landing boats and storming the beach is awesome. One thing i don't like about this game is that... Read more
