Summary: Max payne is a great game,a modern day classic very enjoyable with a good story and narrative,a simple game with a lot of replay value,if you haven't played this game than you're missing a big one it's recommended.
Summary: I feel like I played a different game from the rest of these reviewers. I made it into the early missions of the second part before I couldn't take the abysmal design flaws anymore. It's disappointing considering how good the story and atmosphere of the game are. Plenty has been said about the positive, so I'll lay out the game's many flaws in more detail than I've seen in many of the negative reviews here.
Summary: While this game is decent fun, it has some issues. For example... It relies on textures, to make the graphics look decent... as a result, they don't look very good by PS2 standards. The gameplay is terrific, and the game has a vast armory of both real life, and fictional firearms, and explosives, and, of course, Matrix Inspired 'Bullet-Time.' The story is dark and mature, and the game is terrific... Except, you die. A lot. And the checkpoint system is HORRIBLE.
Summary: What I loved about this game is the background designs and layouts. Thie is game is fun and interesting, I loved how it tells the story aout max payne's family, it's like the 2008 movie of max payne. What I really love about this game is when I kill a bad guy they just remain thier and they don't disapear like some of the other games.
