Summary: Ok so I am going against the popular opinion here. My friend and I had a blast with MOO3. Sure there are some things that didnt quite add up, or were buggy. But overall, the size of the galaxy, diplomacy with other races, and eventually attacking the Orions (or my friend :D) made those minor issues...
Summary: Overall, is it worth it if its in the bargin bin? I think yes, there are tons of crappy games you could by at walmart or best buy that will you will play for a day and forget the next day. comparable to todays strategy games? no.
Summary: I love playing the master of orion series of games. I have played each generation of them as they were released. Each generation got more involved and more detailed. In MOO3, you can micro manage all aspects of the game, or design your own AI to manage your planets for you.
Summary: Master of Orion 3 is a huge 4X space empires game which despite numerous flaws and a harsh learning curve is an excellent game. Read on if you want to learn more about it. After playing my first 100 turns of Master of Orion 3, I disliked it. After 200 turns, I was ready to toss it in the trash.

Summary: So... after waiting for a good long time after it came out, having been dissuaded very strongly by the horrendous critiques of the game post-release, I purchased the game last week. Quick review: Does it deserve to be called MOO3? NO. Is it terribly addictive and fun? YES.
Summary: I bought this game a couple of years ago and played it for a couple of nights but it really ddnt grip me. There were so many buggy problems and annoying things that it really wasn't worth playing.
Summary: I love strategy and reading the reviews here for MOO3, thought it would be really bad. Then I bought MOO2 and 3 at a low price to se what it was all about. First I played MOO2 to later compare MOO3 and... ...

Summary: Master of orion 3 is a good example of a tragic but all to common ailment in the gaming industry, a product released before it was truely ready; despite being in development for over 3 years, the game could have done with a few more months testing and refinement prior to release.

Summary: If your daunted by the negative opinons in the reviews. Listen to them but know this: THIS IS NOT AN EASY GAME! It takes unfortunately more than a few hours to master this game. I didn't find the joy and comfort in the game until about 25 hours of game play (even now I turn to the online dicussion...
Summary: Like many I was waiting desperatley for MOO3 from when I first heard about it and made sure I got my copy on the release date. First impressions was that it was okay, but like so many games now they have to make it accessible to new players as well as old hands.
