Summary: Where to start, I liked the story, the ending of the story, the HO scenes were challenging, the music was good, graphics are one of a kind. What I did not like that set me off from the beginning was the heroine saying Oh I love my buddy loving lumpkins or something similarily stupid - her voice was whining and annoying - so l LOVED that the the shutoff voice option was available.
Summary: This was a pretty good little game. Kinda hokey I thought. If you like romance novels, you will like this game. i found the "shadow locks" who speak in unison with little squeaky voices a bit much. But it did have a puzzle using cards that was repeated throughout that was fun. Most of the locations were softly drawn with lots of gardens and some fairy like atmospheres. Pleasant enough... fun in parts and quite romantic in the storyline. The cut scenes were well done.
Summary: Um I have mixed review with this game. Firstly the graphics appeared inconsistent. The hidden objects scenes were gorgeous & the game scenes were quite pretty but somehow it felt like they were drawn by different departments and later merged. Story was ok but wasn't that captivating. Although the voice acting was alright, it felt a little too slow for me.
Summary: Played the first Margrave Mystery quite a while back and almost didn't play this one because the first one was so dull... heavy on the HOG scenes and not much else. Thanks to the reviews I read, I decided to try this one and am delighted that I did! I totally 'ditto' Starrenz's review... really unique game! So glad that I didn't pass on it. Thanks for the reviews, Must say, it is SO different from the first Margrave Mystery... it's like night and day.
Summary: This was one of the few games that impressed me, and left a mark on me. I wasn't too keen on the introduction or storyline when I first started, but merely a few minutes into the game, it gets interesting and pulls you in. Think "all is not what it seems" - there is the urge to continue playing so as to find out what exactly is going on.
Summary: This looks like a fun game. The graphics are well done, the hidden object puzzles (which are my favorite) are exactly the right difficulty level, and the ghost animals are delightful. But the dialogue scrolls by too quickly for me to be able to read it, so I'm not buying it. I don't think I'll end up enjoying it if I can't understand the story-line.
Summary: This game was pretty fascinating and amazing, but the reason I gave it a four was because of all of that back-tracking and those items that I have to find the second time in the HOG scenes. That caught me off guard. Kind of funky. But this is a pretty good game.
Summary: Definately one of the better games i've played over the past few months. A pretty good storyline (if you don't think too much into all the little details). Part mystery, suspense and fantasy, thoroughly original. Very good length (and a decent add-on game if you buy the CE). Loved the HoG scenes and the puzzles were pretty good (this is the only game where i've actually been able to do the "piano playing" type puzzles) even some of the tried-and-true puzzles (like...
Summary: Overall Impression: a game worth checking into. The storyline was a little sketchy and confusing at times, but the gameplay was excellent. Media Description: The graphics were on the dark and eerie side, but they were beautifully drawn and weren't so dark you couldn't tell what was what. The voiceovers were superb, and the music helped set the mood rather than distracting from it. Storyline: In my opinion, this was the weakest area.
