Summary: A good storyline with good graphics & music to go with it. Unfortunately it drags on for far too long that it becomes too repetitive. Long games like this one should have a bit more variety. The reoccurring mini games were nice at first, but became boring after multiple times, especially piecing together all those letters.
Summary: I've just finished playing the third game in the Margrave "series," and since the User Reviews for that aren't up yet, I decided to replay the first two games, for funsies. I remembered that I'd hated the first game, but forgot why; ten minutes in I remembered why I hated it so much. If I'd reviewed this game when I first played it, I'm sure I would have given it a much higher rating, especially in comparison to its predecessor.
Summary: If you liked the Secret of Margrave Manor then I think you'll enjoy this sequel. It had better graphics then the 1st story & I really liked that the gamers had an brightness option - I wish more games would offer that. I'm probably being parochial but I liked that items were correctly labelled for a game set in UK. Having no timer was nice & it was great that the items weren't tiny (for a change!) The music was very boring so I muted that down as far as I could.
Summary: One word for this game - DISAPPOINTING! The game started off interesting and I thought it was promising. However, as I progressed with it, it became repetitive, tedious which leads to feeling dull and boredom. The game is too long! This is why it became tedious and dull because the development of the story and game play was too slow! Although the graphics were pretty good, I keep visiting the same rooms and finding the same items over and over again.
Summary: If this game were someone's ist time experience in HOG's, they would NEVER play one again. It is WAAAAY too long and mindless. Some of the mini-game explainations (spelling?) are useless or incomplete. I will finish this game through Gamehouse's free-with-ads feature. Glad I didn't buy it.
Summary: After a promising Intro with a nice music and a superb trawler boat on a furious sea you start off on what you believe is going to be a breathtaking adventure... until you get to Chapter 4. You then realize you're always getting the same objects in the same locations. So you place your hopes in the puzzles to come.
Summary: Just finished it and would highly recommend it to HOG lovers. Liked the 1st game also. Had a good story and worked well throughout the game. Liked the dialog but hated the music. Hope they come out with another one soon!
