Summary: A good storyline with good graphics & music to go with it. Unfortunately it drags on for far too long that it becomes too repetitive. Long games like this one should have a bit more variety. The reoccurring mini games were nice at first, but became boring after multiple times, especially piecing together all those letters.
Summary: I enjoy playing hidden object games, and the first Margrave Manor was really addictive. I could not wait to get to the main story after every level. This second game did not disappoint me; it was just as intriguing as the first. I have purchased Margrave 3 and have not played it yet but plan to do so in the near future.
Summary: One of my main issues with this game was that after a few minutes, the cut scenes sped by so fast that there was absolutely no opportunity to read what was being said between the characters. Therefore, I had no idea what was going on or what my goals were. As for the hidden objects, as a previous reviewer mentioned, you start to notice all the objects are reused over and over. So it feels like you keep doing the same search.
Summary: Recommended for HOG addicts, newbies, and HOG gamers that prefer the HOG part of the game to plot development/searching/deduction. I really wanted to like this game - graphics for the cut scenes are good, graphics for the HOG parts are fine, likeable two main characters, likeable nautical/cursed/treasure theme (even if not all that original) - but after the first few chapters, I wanted this game to end.
Summary: The story and the 3D is great in this. There was no problems that i can see in this game and they do give you hints if you do run into problems. I cant say for Margrave 1 didnt do it, but 2 is wonderful.
Summary: I've just finished playing the third game in the Margrave "series," and since the User Reviews for that aren't up yet, I decided to replay the first two games, for funsies. I remembered that I'd hated the first game, but forgot why; ten minutes in I remembered why I hated it so much. If I'd reviewed this game when I first played it, I'm sure I would have given it a much higher rating, especially in comparison to its predecessor.
Summary: If you liked the Secret of Margrave Manor then I think you'll enjoy this sequel. It had better graphics then the 1st story & I really liked that the gamers had an brightness option - I wish more games would offer that. I'm probably being parochial but I liked that items were correctly labelled for a game set in UK. Having no timer was nice & it was great that the items weren't tiny (for a change!) The music was very boring so I muted that down as far as I could.
