Reviews and Problems with Major League Baseball 2K12

Summary: Since I don't own a PS3 this is my only option for a baseball game. Although it's definitely not on par with MLB the Show, I do not think 2K12 is a terrible game. Presentation (8): The franchise mode has tons of options as usual and season mode is also more flexible. Graphics (6): Although 2K12 has improved lighting and graphics from previous titles, some animations are lacking and not nearly as smooth as they should be.
Summary: Controls for PC version are pretty awful and don't make much sense, probably due to console import. Some buggy commentary, gets pretty repetitive pretty quick, and why does a change-up have almost the same velocity as a fastball. However, if you want to actually play a baseball game on the PC, it's pretty much the only thing out there right now.
Summary: So far this is a great experience. The learning curve has strung me along. I reduced the ai pitch speed and it became playable. I just couldnt catch a rythm. Graphics are smooth, shadows are moderate, and presentation is interesting. Not sure what the terrible reviews are about.
Summary: This is a good game with a ton of flaws. I love Baseball and only have a 360 so I have no choice since it's the only one we have. The graphics could be better and there are a number of glitches but I do really like the gameplay and the stadiums are nice looking.
Summary: This mlb2k series is the worst game ever made on the pc i download it on both onlive and last year mlb2k11 on steam they both or horrid and this game reallie suck its buggy and inconsitant with stats for franchise mode whenever i play the spring training and fantasy draft the stats carry over from last year and i dont like it i give it a 2 out of 10 its my least favorite baseball game
Summary: Sure I wish this entry was better then last years like everyone else. However if you want the new players and stats it's the only way to go for the 360. Everyone whines how it's lacking next to The Show. However if you don't own a PS3 but have a 360 and want to play realistic baseball on your HDTV you don't really have a choice. As for the create a player mode not being very good. I could care less.
Summary: Stay away from this game. It is extremely buggy and unplayable. Wait for some patches, or just pass this game. They have a bad track record when it comes to patching. Terrible customer support, they never address the issues with the game in the forums, and totally seem to ignore the customers.
Summary: I'm beginning to think sports game publishers have a smash-and-grab mentality. 2K12 certainly does. Get your money, ship you this, and no refunds. No recourse. Customization is a joke. The bugs are numerous, the controls are hideous, the tutorials are nonexistant, and all in all, it was just a waste of money.
Summary: This game is not as bad as some of the other reviewers for PC said on this site. I have played all of the PC versions for MLB2k (from 2009 to current). This series has made improvements each year, so to me its worth the investment. You can enhance the graphics to meet your needs if you have an adequate PC, unlike the console version. I don't expect perfection regarding PC sports games. Its a dying breed, I guess.
