Gather round for some serious Magic

  • Excerpt: I retrieved Magic: The Gathering (now to be referred to as MTG) from the cupboard. After blowing the dust off the box, I walked to the computer thinking that it felt amazingly heavy for a PC game. I opened the box and removed the contents. My eyes fell onto the manual and I realised why it went straight into the cupboard after purchase. The manual was nothing like we are used to. A gargantuan 200 pages lay in front of me, daring me to attempt to read it.
  • Pros: Very entertaining, Plenty of longevity
  • Cons: Only single player

  • Excerpt: This game is a super stratergy game taken from the original card game. The game itself has captured the essence of the card game but its not as interactive. Magic the Gathering is basicaly a card game that allows the players to summon monsters and use spells. The aim of the game is to kill your enemy. This game is the best sureal way to play magic the gathering without spending loads of money on the cards.
  • Pros: You don't have to mess with picking up cards .
  • Cons: It's not as interactive as the card game .

House of Cards

  • Excerpt: This isn’t anything to do with Paul Daniels; "Magic The Gathering" is based on the popular card game by Wizards of the Coast. It remains very true to its roots too though translating a trading card game to the PC platform is questionable, one huge element of the card game is lost entirely, the ability to trade. It just isn’t as satisfying getting a computerised version of a card as it is holding a piece of overpriced card in your grubby hands.
  • Pros: Good adaptation of a classic card game
  • Cons: Not graphically compelling, overly complex rules make it difficult to learn

  • Excerpt: Open the cards a great mage. The game is made for those who is able to play in MTG. Probably it is a lot of such, if have made game. I in these cards to play is not skilful, but has learned. In game there is a mode of training to rules MTG. The game contains the whole world occupied by essences, and each has the pack of cards. You a go on the world destroying angry and improving the unique pack. The game is interesting on a network not less.
  • Pros: network
  • Cons: rules MTG
