Unplayable on PC

Summary: I though the label "games for windows" meant something. Guess MS will put there name on anything. There is a reason this game is selling used for $[...]. It's unplayable due to the horrable job Capcom did with porting the controls and the mind numbing lag that makes playing it on hard a waste of time. Next time someone wants to port a so so Xbox game on to the PC I think they should have to prove they played it through them selves first.
Summary: This game was a horror. I had played Assassin's Creed and Gears of War just before getting this and decided that maybe the Xbox Ports weren't so bad after all, than I installed Lost Planet. The Gameplay is uninspired, with run of the mill weapons and a senseless storyline with poor dialog and passable voice acting. The graphics are a joke, I ran Gears full blast on my system and it was beautiful.
Conclusion: Nice graphics if you have the system to run it but the gameplay is very dated nothing new shoot lesser baddies come up against a bigger target kill that repeat for all missions come on devs give us something new to keep our interest. got bored doing this 10 years ago.
Conclusion: I had to return the game unopened because of an idiotic system, which forces you to sign up to some third party agency called Steam in order to activate your game and receive updates. As I only access the internet at work, this rules me out. Zero marks to CapCom for not making it abundantly clear that their nasty little copy protection scheme means this is not a stand-alone game, as you might at first think.
Conclusion: Having seen this on the X-box 360 I was glad to see that it was being released on the PC. However having had this for nearly 5 days now I'm still yet to play the game and find out what it looks like. For those who are unaware this game requires an internet connection to play, even the single player game. A program called STEAM has to access the server every time you try to run the game.
