Summary: It was a good attempt to educate while providing gameplay, but for some reason it was not able to capture my attention. I had to stop frequently and come back to this game, as I found myself bored and yawning after 15 minutes. The graphics were mediocre, and the backtracking became a nuisance once you got further into the game. The puzzles were really easy, hardly a challenge, and the HO scenes were ok.
Summary: Unfortunately, I never was able to download this game. After several tries, I finally gave up! By the way, I never received my refund either. This is probably the last time I will try to download a game from you all.
Summary: I was enjoying the game until it wouldn't let me go any further. It stalls and won't let you go any further. Would not buy!!! I personally am going to try to get my money back for the waste of computer space!!
Summary: Before you buy, check out the forum discussion below to see how many people have had problems with this game that are fatal to completing game play. Amazon's position is that any technical issues must be resolved with the game company. I'm rather disappointed that Amazon would continue to sell a game that they know is defective without, at a minimum, warning their customers that a technical defect has been identified and that buyers purchase at their own risk.
Summary: This game has terrible software problems...I thought it was me but after visiting gamezebo I found a bunch of people with many diff. probs...supposedly a patch but this seems to make it worse. I would not buy it unless you see if they have got it fixed first...
Summary: I enjoyed the game, also you are given history about the period and the Salem Witch Trails during this particular time period. The game was fairly easy to play, I have to consult the walk through for a few components of the game. You will learn history will playing this game.
Summary: My experience with NatGeo games has generally been negative, but I enjoyed the trial of this one, so I went ahead and bought the complete game. I now regret this. (It might have been okay as a $2.99 sale game.) On the positive side, the objects are almost all period-appropriate, and I was taken with the way my first HOG scene was interrupted by arson — I've never seen anything like that before. If only the rest of the game had more such original touches!
