Summary: Lord of the Rings The Battle For Middle Earth is fun and addicting. Too bad there is no support for Mac or Newer PC's . Check your system before purchasing. Also purchase on ebay before here. Maybe you'll get a better price. BTW these sellers that are trying to take advantage of people by selling a $30 game for $90 are trash. Stop taking advantage of people!
Summary: Fun game, but not to much replayability once you've gone through the campaigns. Computer doesn't seen to know how to assault your fortifications very well. I wish you could build larger armies, and arrange your camps how you wanted. Oh well, still worth a buy at the price.
There's no online Server system for any Battle For Middle Earth game anymore

Summary: So its not worth buying the BFME series games anymore. The online Service for Battle for Middle Earth games (BFME 1, 2 and Rise of the Witchking) has been terminated on December 31th, 2010. The game itself is good, its just that you get no real worth out of your money anymore, since the CD-key is not needed to play online anymore. There are no goodies inside the box, its just the DVD and a small installation handbook inside.
Summary: Just wanted to tell every one that the games will run on windows 7. There were know problems. How ever the windows 7 compatibly center said it would not run. They were wrong. Have not played the game that much but so far is very good. You will have a problem however if you have a large screen. Another review tells you how to fix it.
Summary: Unfortunately because it is only for PC the game due to compatabality issues has died on me twice. My discs no longer work. I keep on buying all of the battle for middle earth games because no one will make a new one to replace them. I love these games because there are alot of poorly done lord of the rings game, if you dont mind an RTS style game this is the game for tolkien fans. In no other game can you see alot of middle earth especially maps not in the films.
Battle for Middle Earth, Great game that can get tedious
10 May 2009
Summary: This game is very well made. You get special powers unique to whatever team that you are playing as. You can only build bases/structures in certain areas (so this makes it easier to win by destroying all enemy bases because you know where they are) and the creatures that you use to fight with are very unique and you can do a relatively large spectrum of strategies. However, this game does get tedious fairly quickly.
