Summary: This is the kind of game I could just pick up and play for a few minutes or I could spend hours in front of the computer. On the surface it is a very easy game to play and finish, on the other hand there are many optional puzzles and quests that will keep an adult busy (and sometimes frustrated) for weeks after finishing the story of the game. Overall a great game for people of any age...
Summary: After playing this game at a friend's house (xbox), I decided to get it for my birthday. Like many others, I had the same 'pixel shader' issue. Although my computer is generally pretty fast, I am not a big gamer and my video card was not up to date. I got a new one, not just for the sake of this game, but I needed a new one anyway. After best buy tried to charge $35 for installing it, I just installed it myself.
Summary: Lego Star Wars is pretty simple. It's directed at kids, but don't be fooled. This is a Star Wars game. You get to play through the Prequel Trilogy and a part of episode 6, though the Lego's don't talk and you will not understand anything if you haven't seen the movies. If you have watched the movies, you will recognize familiar scenes and battles.
Summary: I love this game. I had a little trouble with it on my old computer which was an intel then I bought an AMD with a NVIDIA card and the game runs great. A little short but it is still tons of fun. I highly recommend it to anyone who is a Star Wars and Lego fan.
Summary: Executive Summary: Pro: Great game! Con: When/If it works. I don't know what it is about Lego software. I'm a big fan since Lego Racers. But their software titles never shake that "rushed to production" feel nor the "quick buck garbage title" feel. It's a wonder really, because all the pieces are there to make it work. They have great concept titles, just no heart to make a bug free game.
Rate the game on its merits, not your system's flaws.

Summary: I was reading the reviews for this game, and I noticed that the over all rating of the game had been dragged down to a mere 3/5 stars because of a plethora of reviewers who merely stated the same error occuring on their computer. Because they did not properly read the game requirements on the packaging (the error in question, pixel shading v1.1, is specifically addressed).
Summary: ok ok. i like to tell myself i bought this game for my 6-yr old son - but just between you and me, there's just something phenomenally adorable about lego figures in video games to me...i have lego chess and a couple others. so when i heard there was a Star Wars lego game, it was a no-brainer. Mom (i mean, my SON) had to have it.
Summary: Lego Star Wars--my dream come true. But it didn't work when I bought it, so I had to get a new vid card and it is one of my favorite games. Free play is totally awesome, and you can play with over 50 characters in over 17 different scenes (I am not sure how many because I haven't unlocked the secret level yet). But beware, look at the requirements, if you don't you will have wasted thirty dollars (well it's a nice-looking box).
