Like all Lego games, gets a little old before you beat it

Summary: Bought this to play couch coop on the PC with my girlfriend. We both had a lot of fun until about the Death Marshes when the gameplay started to get as stale as the corpse-infested water. It was pretty fun up to that point though!
Not as good as Lego Star Wars, but better than the other Lego games.

Summary: Lego Star Wars was by far the best Lego game, in my opinion. If you played that and loved it, but thought the other Lego games were lackluster, I would recommend trying this one. But only if you get it for maybe half of the retail price.
Summary: In my opinion, tries to follow the movie too closely, and detracts from the possible fun-factor. Not as lighthearted and humorous as the other lego games. I'd prefer a more loose interpretation based on the book, instead of so stringent to the movie. Also, sometimes the split-screen mode forces one player or the other to do difficult scenes solo, and my son struggled with these sometimes. Probably has a higher difficulty than the other lego games.
Summary: This game is really strange for me. I love lego games, I ABSOLUTELY loved Lego Batman 2 but this game... meh... not so much. Because all the dialogue was taken from the movie, it feels as though you should watch the movie instead of playing the game, the humor is there but really tame. Where lego batman really shines was his scenario, here, it's just the movies that you play and that's it.
Summary: I just got this game for Christmas and I love playing through the LOTR as it is one of my favorite tales, however the game pauses for long periods during gameplay for no apparent reason making a fun game into a chore. I've turned off all my background programs and have a very powerful system (Core i7, 16GB ram, gaming graphics card). There are no support forums for this game at either Lego or WB Games, which implies there's no support.
