Payday: The Heist deserves praise for working with a unique concept, but loses some points for less-than-perfect delivery. While the gunplay is your standard shooter fare, Payday ’s saving grace is that four-player coop is tremendous fun and when you have a good team, together you can transcend the repetitive objectives. While zombie games aren't new fare (the first Resident Evil is nearly 13 years old), recent technology has made it possible to properly recreate full-on uprisings on our console screens. The recent influx of zombie movies and shows in the past few years - Shaun of the Dead, Dead Set, the Resi movies and even Romero's new (if slightly disappointing) Dead films - have also helped to bring the genre into the mainstream. The zombie apocalypse is here and that's the entire story you need to know in this cooperative first-person shooter and all the story you're ever told. You play as 1 of 4 survivors (Zoey the college student, Bill the war veteran, Francis the biker, Louis the IT guy). The character doesn't seem to matter, it's just a different voice and skin. They will talk to alert you of things like health, weapons, reloading and where you should go next. Read more or see product

I have been watching this game for about a year, and it's finally here. All I can say is Oh-my-god. It's everything it was said to be. This has to be one of the best zombie games since Resident Evil. Here's why. As always, Valve does everything right. -Game Looks Great for a 4(?) year-old Source engine -Different play through everytime -2 Different Modes of Gameplay that will have you hooked for hours. I've done around 30 hours so far and I'm far from bored. Read more

LEFT 4 DEAD is a first-person zombie survival cooperative game by VALVE. Copied from DooYoo account of the same name Gameplay The sound of zombies raged from all sides as we struggled through the floors of the abandoned, bloodied hospital. Helicopters fly dangerously close overhead and the building began to shake as the amplitude of the oncoming zombie attack became more apparent, more intense, and infinitely more deadly. Read more

What a refreshing change to the tired FPS genre. The city has been ravaged by the zombie hordes, and it's up to you and three other buddies to blast your way through legions of the undead and escape to safety. Lots of zombie blasting fun, but there's some real tactical elements here in how you have to work together; watching everybody's back if you really want to survive. Read more

Well, being a Valve game, there are a ton of PC players, but the sheer ease of the 360 community, coupled with the luxury of couch based play make it a great way to play. As to their quality, it is tough to say. I’ve yet to play L4D with random folks, but I’ve heard it is slightly better than other games. The PC is going to home a lot of good players, but they can be dicks about their console counterparts. Both platforms seem to be victim of exploits too. Read more
