Last Half of Darkness: Society of the Serpent Moon

Adventure Classic Gaming
19 August 2012
  • Excerpt: Last Half of Darkness: Society of the Serpent Moon is the fourth game in the Last Half of Darkness series from indie developer Bill Fisher (William R. Fisher) of WRF Studios. The long running series has enjoyed a loyal fan following, exceeding expectation from some critics. Differing from all previous installments for the series, this installment now plays in third-person instead of first-person perspective.

I Wear My Sunglasses At Night

Game Debate

  • Excerpt: Last Half Of Darkness: Society of the Serpent Moon review We’ve taken control of some serious badasses in our time - dudes that would take a squat on Vin Diesel, then wipe their arse cheeks with James Bond’s face. Ben from Full Throttle; Isaac from Dead Space; and of course a certain Mr Kratos. All tougher than a Pure Mathematics paper written in Swahili.
  • Pros: Logical puzzles, Sinister locations, Interesting plot
  • Cons: Bizarre protagonist, Dated character models, Irritating crow puzzle

Review: Last Half of Darkness: Society of the Serpent Moon (PC)

Diehard GameFAN

  • Summary: Society of the Serpent Moon delivers a solid, mostly stable, adventure experience using some clever tricks with full motion video to go along with the static and highly detailed backgrounds that give the player a haunted, suspenseful experience that fans of the adventure genre will love. There are some interesting puzzles that take a bit of discovery and brain power to solve and overall I found the game to be a lot of fun.

  • Conclusion: After about ten hours of play time, Society of the Serpent Moon comes to a very satisfying end. The story isn't related to the other Last Half of Darkness games in any way, so you don't need to have played any of those installments to understand this one, which is available exclusively from the developer's website.

Last Half of Darkness: Society of the Serpent Moon by flotsam

GameBoomers
9 August 2011
  • Excerpt: This is the fourth in the Last Half of Darkness series, and represents somewhat of a departure from what went before. No longer The Stranger, this time you are Billy, looking for Wendy. Like some others, Wendy is missing, and a notebook and disk that arrive in the mail indicate something is seriously wrong. The owner of the Blue Iguana may be corrupt, but a witch seeking “new meat” is something else altogether.

“Gaat 6 jaar terug in de tijd”

evilgamerz.nl
6 September 2013

Last Half of Darkness: Society of the Serpent Moon

  • Summary: Society of the Serpent Moon est un jeu d'aventure relativement prenant. L'ambiance sombre est très bien rendue, les musiques ne manquent pas de panache, et la réalisation s'avère très réussie. Un point'n click fort agréable au final.
