Not a bad game to play, but loading it

Summary: I bought the game as a pc dvd, and still it had to be downloaded from the internet, which took forever. And that's just the beginning. Every time I go to start the game, it takes forever to load. And if you don't stay synced with the cloud server on your saves, watch out. I didn't pay attention and picked the wrong option, which set me back a couple of hours in the game.
Summary: I confess I was moved (pity?) to buy this because I had heard the stunning news that the state of Rhode Island was leveraged in bonds to the hilt, and, by investing heavily in this game, thought they could dig their way out of the red. It's basically a WoW clone, with nothing particularly different to recommend it: same sorts of spells, weapons, characters, enemies, plot points, settings, you name it.
Summary: I've spent 15-20 hours playing Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. I'm not even close to finishing it, and it's likely that I never will. It just feels like a re-hash of games that I've played before. Nothing really original. And the graphics look like they're from 5-10 years ago. It's rare that I enjoy a game right from the start, but after a few hours, I can usually tell if it's going to hook me.
Summary: While game was OK the graphics were boring. All screens looked almost the same. The dungeons were just too dark for my liking (even with brightness turned all the way up). The quest system was good and did allow you to find your way around. Overall I would rate it at 70%.
Summary: The game define quantity over quality. There is a lot of writing and dialogue, but most of it is bland and boring, while the voice acting ranges from flat to outright atrocious. The story is average and not particularly exciting, the setting and the world doesn't distinguish itself much from stereotypical medieval fantasy worlds, and the characters are paper thin.
Summary: Quick summary: if you like WoW and mindless leveling devoid of plot, character, decent music or story, this is a good game. If you are into games like Mass Effect or Dragon Age, this game is awful. Details: I got this game because RA Salvatore used to be my favorite author, and all the reviews I read emphasized what an amazing RPG it was. Either I have been spoiled by games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect, or RPG no longer means what it used to.
Summary: Hi, I just came from Skyrim, having put 110 hours in there maybe I'm spoiled, but what a letdown this game was/is. The gameplay is, okay. I like the combat animations - creative. The graphics, while I appreciate what the artists were trying to do were.... meh. Felt like World of Warcraft to me. I think they could have taken their cartoony looks and rendered them in a respectable engine. Maybe I'm shallow, but "video games" are presented in a visual medium.
Summary: Considering how often EA uses the word "Epic" to describe their newest game I thought it'd make a fitting title. I awaited this game with high hopes and a sense of giddiness. The lead designer of Oblivion is on board? Score! They're using a real bestselling novelist to devise the story? About time! Combat won't become a snooze-inducing affair? Cheers! Here's a timeline of my EPIC Kingdoms of Amalur experience. 1 hour into the game: Not bad. Nice music.
Summary: Like most things its good in theory, but not in practice. The game lags, the controls are simply horrible on the PC version at least. I had high hopes for this game after all they hype, but there is simply too much stop and go to progress the story along. Even the patches are bugged for the PC and won't complete the update. If this does turn into an MMORPG and the bugs fixed, it may deserve another look. For now I wasted 50.00 on a subpar game.
Summary: First installing the game is my worst ever. Origin is a joke. It wants to download instead of installing from the disc. What the heck did i buy the disc for. And i started installing around 3 pm. Got finished around 10 pm. I will never buy any PC games that force me to use 3rd party companies crap to install them again. If that means never buying PC games again than so be it. I'm all done with this bs. This killed any excitement i had for the game.
