Summary: It installed fine on the WinXP machine (Core2 Duo, 2GB RAM) that I gave my four year old. She loved the games and was really learning from them but after a few months the software started to glitch, mostly audio problems at first. I have been unable to correct it by repairing or reinstalling.
Summary: specifically requested W7 compatible and this was not. had to send back and was disappointed with only receiving the shipping fee back. very disappointed. RR products are great teaching/learning tools. the only draw back is that they have not kept up with the times and made all their products compatible with higher platforms.
Summary: I'm very happy with this item. This is the 2nd time I'm ordering this from this seller since my kids lost the last one I bought. I'm very happy with it. We did have to rig up one computer in the household with an older Windows OS in order to run this (and most childrens' software I buy) on a more compatible system (lower bit color). However, the educational value for the kids is more than worth it.
Summary: The two modes of use are great. There is the long term adventure to collect the letters and reveal the secret message as well as just play the games. Either way my granddaughter is making leaps and bounds in her ability to recognize new words.
Summary: My son is almost 6 years old. For the past year I have been trying to teach him the sounds of all the alphabet letters, and to be able to recognize them when picked at random. He has ADHD, so needless to say, we didn't get too far. He has had this game for about a week and he already recognizes a few words.
