Summary: Well after reading the main review I have decided I must be a diehard Jewel Quest fan (apart from the fact that I did rush straight in and use 2 of my BF coupons buy the collectors edition the moment it came out and I do have all the Jewel Quest series!) because I LOVE IT! I love the way you can chose your mode and play at your own speed.
Summary: I really like this Jewel Quest version much better than the other all M3 Jewel Quests because I get a better chance to actually finish the game and see how the story ends. I'm not quick enough to finish some of the boards in the other versions, especially the evasion boards, even using the untimed mode. With this game, I can, using the combination of the correct companion plus the untimed mode just on certain boards.
Summary: I love the Jewel Quest boards but have to agree with official review about the cut scenes and the obstacles on the boards. I definitely recommend trying the demo first. Besides what is mentioned in the review, you choose a character from the story to be your companion on each board. Not sure why except to add another facet to the play. I think each character has benefits for the board but I didn't think it was clearly explained.
