Summary: Can't deny that I didn't have any interest in this game until I read other peoples reviews here and around the web calling it an underrated gem. And gues what? They were totally right, have no regrest buying this game. The gameplay is a decent hack and slash, and is true that the graphics are alright, but its the narrative, characters and amazing score that wins you over. Once you are hooked, it becomes a very emotional game.
Summary: Nier is not the most complex or deep JRPG out there but I found it to be a fun hack n slash. You'll spend most of the game gathering materials for quests and weapon upgrades. It is is a bit grindy at times since you revisit areas often. I like the characters and story. Voice acting is good. Music is amazing. Graphics are decent. I would recommend Nier to anyone who likes JRPG's and wants something a little different, a little darker.
Summary: The gameplay might be repetitive, but everything else is so good that you won't even notice it. Engrossing story and great characters combined with beautiful music makes this one of the best "niche" games in recent years.
