Summary: I like the game a lot, but one of my favorite things about 007 was the split screen multiplayer. When I had friends over we would all play split screen, but in this game they don't have it, so it's a bummer. Another bad thing is there are no missions where you get to drive anything. On the bright side it has a fairly decent single player, and a good multiplayer (despite the fact of not having spit screen). Overall I would give this game a 3.9/5.
Summary: Its a fun FPS that pretty much goes right down the story line of the movies. The graphics are ok, the controls are not bad and its just plain fun playing 007. At this price, its a no brainer. I am waiting for James Bond 007: Blood Stone to drop and will pick that up because its supposed to have a great storyline. Anyway, online play is OK. There were still people playing online as of January of this year. Anyway, a fun game, especially at this low price.
(8.3) - Review - Quantum of Solace - Treyarch and Activision Hit the mark!
31 May 2010
Summary: James Bond 007: Quantum of Solace is a solid game. I would very much recommend this for a purchase as it only about 10$ now. Solid graphics ( a little old) but good, great gun-play, and the 007 story is pulled of with a bang. It has flaws and some game-play issues that keep it out of the elite, no worries, you will enjoy this game. You like fun and engaging shooters you will be pleasantly surprised!
Summary: I bought this game in 2008 and it sat in my backlog until this month. I decided to play it and I'm shocked that I let such a good game sit for so long. The graphics aren't the best but it does have some nice bright in dept colors. The controls are the similar to the Call of Duty series but modified slightly. The 3rd person cover view works perfectly and makes the game much more interesting. This uses the same cover system Gears of War uses.
Summary: First of all this is definitely not worth the full $60. As one reviewer mentioned, you do feel like you're being cattle-herded to the end. It's a first person shooter and nothing more. Since its a game based on a movie not yet released (Quantum of Solace was released after the game I think) much of the story is vague and often lacking. Is it worth $15? Absolutely. In fact, thats a bit of a steal. I would say it was worth $25 at least.
Summary: This is a very good game, but it is missing something. The online is fine but not the best, the story mode is too short on legendary I beat it in 3 hours flat. Even though the game is a little short, its a good game. If you like the action of 007 then you'll LOVE this. It has fast pased action and huge explosions sometimes give you lag as playing but thats fine.
Summary: This addition to the 007 game series is a worthy one. It is played in a movie point of view from the get-go, taking off from the end of "Casino Royale" and following the "Quantum of Solace" script almost word-for-word. What I really like about it is even though it is played as if it were the two movies, it tells stories from other points of view than Bond's, such as Mi6 and the villians.
