One of the most enjoyable games made

  • Summary: I really enjoy the squad based gameplay and the engaging storyline. The interaction of the characters alone adds lots of replay value not to mention the mod community.

Works great on Win7 x64 + 32bit

kaori, Amazon
24 June 2006
  • Summary: Looks like a simple stand alone installer, I dont think this has any drm. Considering the price 2.50$. At first its a bit confusing if your trying to rush through the gameplay. Not very straightforward. Very nice idea to go about this game. Takes a while to get used to INTERFACE, very different than others, but I liked it. Shouldnt be a problem for other OS's either.

Game works great on Vista

TMB, Amazon
24 June 2006
  • Summary: Jagged Alliance 2 downloaded quickly and plays normally on Windows Vista. Have experienced no problems from this digital version that were not present in the original, disk-based version. This is different from the Gametap version, which crashed consistently on the same platform. If you like JA2, this version works great.

Old but still amazing

Will, amazon.co.uk
30 July 2011
  • Summary: The amount of detail and depth this game has is incredible. Created during a time when gamers weren't thought of as people with ADD, this is a highly involving and intelligent RTS/TBS/RPG hybrid. Nothing since has come close. Everything is great, from the tactical combat and cover system, destructable environments, variable hit locations, dynamic physics, non linear world, mass amounts of detailed equipment and weaponry..

still unsurpassed

PdH, amazon.co.uk
9 December 2010
  • Summary: Jagged Alliance 2 is now an old game, and yet as far as I know (and I do play my share of games) no game has come out so far that even comes close to bringing us the experience that is JA2. Now in 2010, I STILL go back to this old gem of a game. Let me tell you why. Logically, its graphics are now more than a little dated, and while functional, can obviously not stand the comparison with anything from the past few years.

Really, what can you say?

Harry Wagstaff, amazon.co.uk
14 November 2007
  • Summary: Jagged Alliance 2 is basically, awesome. Set after a coup, you fight for the restoration of the rightful government, playing a group of mercenaries. Armed to the teeth with all manner of weapons, explosives, equipment and armour, you free the citizens of the major towns and train them to fight against an counterattacks. Although the non-combat parts of the game can be slow, the game really comes into it's own during combat, which is turn-based.

Great Game

James, amazon.co.uk
28 June 2005
  • Summary: Jagged Alliance 2 is, in all measures, an excellent game. It provides the player with a very openended enviroment in which you have to accomplish your mission. Your mission is to launch a guirilla war against an evil dictator on a small island. You start off being able to hire a small number of initial mercs and the difficulty.

RPG / Turn based strategy game

Millenium_Milk "lucicerious", amazon.co.uk
30 July 2004
  • Summary: This game has all the RPG elements to call it a "Baldur's gate" the realism to call it "Real-Life" and the strategy that makes Chess look like a simple game of "Tag". This game is quite simply, miraculous in the way that it is set up. With a simple to use interface for controlling your squad of Mercenaries, it won't require a Degree to work out.
