Summary: From the first seconds of the opening cinematic, you can tell that the voice acting is going to be bad. And it is. The main character's voice doesn't even fit the character, if you ask me. Puzzles devolved into pixel hunting (after no item from my inventory was getting me anywhere), and that's just plain poor design. To top off the suckiness, I didn't much like the interface and the game w asn't funny. At all. I'll give the game a 1 because it runs.
Summary: My husband and I like to do these kinds of games during the winter when daylight is short. I would say this game is above average. The first 4 or 5 locations were more fun than the next couple, mostly due to nonsensical solutions at the end of them. We needed to use a "cheat" sheet only a couple of times.
Summary: I haven't had this much fun playing an adventure game in quite a while. The story is rollicking. The graphics are glorious. The voice work is decent to amusingly great. The music is atmospheric. The interface is easy to negotiate. The quests and puzzles are reasonable-- some head scratching but I was never thwarted for long. And as a capper, the game rewards the astute player with bonuses. Yes, this game has become a game, by which all other adventures will be judged.
Summary: I played this game in its original language (german) and the synchronization is very good here - but the game still has some major flaws: bad controls, some bad camera angels (which are fixed and can not be altered), the movement animation of the actors is often.....strange (especially running up/down a stair ;) ) Some logical errors (items suddenly disappear from inventory or at some points items can trigger events which are completed already).
Summary: This game has been around since Moby Dick was a minnow, so I am a little perplexed as to why this is listed as a new game. It is a lot of fun. Lots of hilarity in the characters, especially Jack who is about as sensible as Sponge Bob. Maybe less. Get a walkthrough, as there are tons of things you need to pick up and do and walk through and give to people and say and on and on, but that doesn't take away the fun of this game.
Won't work right on Vista on my laptop or Windows 7 on Desktop.

Summary: Can not hear(read) most of the conversation between the characters in the game. Anyone else having this? Have downloaded several games from Amazon. Never had problems with any of them before this one.
Summary: It was my first adventure game since... Since... Truly, I don't remember when was last time when i've played good, oldfashioned point&click game. Good story, great personas, who can really touch our hearts in deeps (I'm talking of course about Jack and Amanda. And Montgomery). Quests are in most cases logical, but I've had to see solution few times (wedding). Maybe my lack of playing adventures games recently caused my opinion. Maybe it's time to discover Sokal's games?
