Summary: As it turns out, running right and shooting dudes is still pretty fun. Many classic arcade shooters have aged incredibly well due to their addictive jump-shoot-dodge cycle complemented by varied level, enemy, and boss design. There are few modern games that can stand beside those classics.
Summary: Intrusion 2 is of a rare breed. It mimics the gameplay of arcade legends like Metal Slug, and yet does not cut the experience down to a total of one hour. The small collection of personal griped I have with this title are far outweighed by the positive, enjoyable experience.
Summary: I’ve heard a lot of people talk about a huge game drought this summer. Over and over, I’ve heard the familiar lament, “there’s nothing to play!”. To someone like me, who always has far more great games to play than time to play them, this always seems like a strange attitude.
Excerpt: Usually my reviews start with a little history of a developer and how they got to the release of whatever game I'm looking at. This one started with a Reddit post about a guy's Russian friend who spent three years making a game pretty much entirely by himself under the name Vap Games.
