Be Prepared for Adventure...and a Huge Need for Patience

Teague Bohlen, Amazon
6 August 2003
  • Summary: I had high hopes for this game, but honestly, I don't think I'd buy it again if I had it to do over again. Parts of it are really a lot of fun, but there are so many irritating details in the gameplay that it detracts from the whole. For example, the game start and quit menus are way too long.

Bad port of a medicore game.

Amazon Customer "millaybooks", Amazon
7 April 2003
  • Summary: Ignoring the Console Porting Issues for a moment, let's look at the levels themselves. The first level, as always, is an introductory affair - boring, easy, and generally just a chore.

I was disappointed

Peter, Amazon
3 April 2003
  • Summary: I've been playing Indiana Jones games on the PC since they first started coming out, and I found this one disappointing. Lots of potential and there are some cool things, but the jerky camera and poor implementation of the controls is a pain.

Could be a great deal better with just a few easy changes...

Leaders, Amazon
1 April 2003
  • Summary: As most fans of the Indiana Jones series of games I was very excited to pick this latest one up. It's a good game that has some extremely annoying flaws that distract you from the game. First off, as one reviewer already stated, you can't save the game on your own.

Poor movement control--AND YOU CAN'T SAVE GAMES!

Tony Wieczorek, Amazon
31 March 2003
  • Summary: What a terrible disappointment. I've begun playing the PC Version of Indy and the Emperor's Tomb, but the keyboard control of his movement is very clumsy. With high quality engines like the Quake architecture available, there's no excuse for such aggravating movement problems.

I could be soo much, buts its not

Wm Todd Riedinger, Amazon
11 February 2004
  • Summary: I just bought the Emperor's Tomb and am writing about the PC version. I guess I just compare 3rd person games to the Max Payne series, which isn't fair to most other games because Max Payne games are great. This game has good graphics but lacks story set up and great cut scenes.

A Dissapointing game for Indy

Mitchell J. Hall, Amazon
14 December 2003
  • Summary: When i heard about the release of this game i was very excited and anticipated a great game. I finally got the game and when i played it, my first impression was the graphics. They are terrible! Even in cut sequences they are rubbish and are just the same as in the gameplay graphics.

Lucas Arts Should Fix Problems Before Selling Anymore

Katrina Cote, Amazon
8 July 2003
  • Summary: The character's motion is horrible. This makes it difficult to positioin and complete tasks properly, causing a mistake that takes you back to the beginning of the same frustrating trip you just took. Can't save at all (then why do they give you ten spots to "save" in?

I wish I could save!

Amazon
25 November 2002
  • Summary: I agree in general with the first review of the game , but the whole thing is completely spoiled for me because you cannot save the game when you want to: I really miss Quicksave, as in all my other games including previous Indy.
