Finally a game that does Indiana Jones justice!
31 October 2006
Excerpt: "...every time you do something Indiana Jones-esque. Clear a room of bad guys or pull off a particularly hard jump or obstacle. Lot's of nice little touches in the sounds, there are no glitches. Bushes rustle when you walk by them, water splashes, Indy gets breathless if he does a lot of jumping or climbing, realistic gunshot sounds. Very good overall. Graphics: Also another place the developers put a lot of effort into. For once, Indiana ...
Excerpt: "... I bought it along with Indiana Jones and the Infernal machine. I was so happy to have not one but two more indiana games by lucas arts, in my opinion the best RPG producers for the PC, for £20. However when I installed and ran the Infernal Machine. I immediately knew that I had made a mistake in buying these games. If you liked the old style RPG's like Full throttle and the fate of atlantis be prepared for a shock. There is no longer the pick ...
Summary: When I played this game on PS2, I have to say, it's probably the first good game I've played since the first Zelda game for N64. I'll admit that certain levels are too hard while others are too easy, but I thought this was a good game. They created a story for it that reminds you of the movies, and Indiana actually looks and sounds like Harisson Ford. I never really see games anymore that have good graphics AND are good games.
Summary: Just when you think it can't get any harder than this - it does! All I can say is I did not want the game to end. My hat off to the game designers. Fantastic adventure. Saving points were not too far spaced apart to avoid frustration. If I've spent an hour playing a game and still can't save, the game becomes kindling. As Indy would say - "Well that won't do." The game is very enjoyable.
Summary: It's truely one of the best games ever. It has a pretty much equal balence of puzzle solving and fighting. The environment is very interactive. You can kick chairs and tables and use the legs as weapons. Indy can even lose his hat while he's fighting! The graphics are also really good, alothugh i've had a few problems with corruption. The only negative things i have to about it is the weird interface(which i got used to after about 15 minutes). And the resouces it takes.
Summary: Controls are clumsy, game is not challenging at all, even if you choose the difficult level it is ridiculously easy. The baddies say the same thing all the time, you encounter the same obstacles over and over very repetitive. Indiana moves like an ape. The only challenging aspect is that you cannot save the game where you would like and combined with the clumsy controls you need to repeat over and over again the same non challenging actions.
Summary: Indiana Jones and the emperor's tomb is probably the best action game I've played so far!! It's much better than the infernal machine since it's a newer game but I would still recommend the infernal machine to all indiana jones fans. Plot: The main objective of the game is to travel to China and try to recover the three parts of the mirror of dreams and find the heart of the dragon before it falls into the hands of the Nazis.
Summary: I bought this game after downloading the demo at the official game website, and i was blown away. I thought I had lost all hope for Indiana Jones's games after playing the horrible "Infernal Machine", but this game really impressed me. The demo included three levels-a tutorial level, Hong Kong, and a level which you shot down Nazi planes. The game has a smooth running fighting system, using the left and right mouse keys to stimulate Indy's left and right fists.
Summary: I just bought the Emperor's Tomb and am writing about the PC version. I guess I just compare 3rd person games to the Max Payne series, which isn't fair to most other games because Max Payne games are great. This game has good graphics but lacks story set up and great cut scenes. The thing I found most aggrevaiting was the lack of the save game.
