Summary: Game keeps crashing. Tried to re-install and not any better. Very odd error messages. "DLL file missing", but checked and its present, sometimes "can't execute error". All the while i have the disc in the cd drive. Sometimes in the middle of play the game crashes and you are instructed to close it. Very sorry I purchased this game, from this company. Well, adding this to this review. Norton scan the files and found two bugs.
Summary: Back when the Total War series was having a spike in popularity, there was a lot of cry for something similar for the era of gunpowder and empire. Some mods of Medieval Total War were made based on the Napoleonic era, but professionally nothing was done. Then came Imperial Glory! So what's the verdict? Were the people's dreams now a reality? Well unfortunately, the game was perhaps too much too soon. Let's start with nation building.
Summary: Imperial Glory just isn't a lot of fun. The concept is terrific and there are some wonderful innovations, but gameplay isn't interesting. The Good: The idea of a Total War type game set in Napoleonic Europe is terrific, as is the idea of allowing the player to devote resources to building politicial and economic buildings in other player's territories.
Summary: Game play- As noted by some of the other reviewers the game play in the campaign game is very slow. You can spend hours just building up your resources to begin to challenge the smallest of adjacent AI countries. There is no "quick start" option that allows you to get into the campaign game with enough resources to start an empire that can engage in battle. Tutorial - No audio (voice), only pop-ups that instruct you what to do next.
Summary: Imperial Glory suffers from one major flaw: It tries to be 3 games at once. First, let's look at the most hyped aspect of the game; the real-time battle engine. It is much like those found in the Total War series, but is not as effective. In Rome: Total War, the game really gave you a feeling that there were thousands of individual men fighting the battle, but the engine in Imperial Glory makes it feel like you're pushing around a very sluggish single unit.
Imperial Glory (PC): Not as good as Empires Total war but cheaper at least.

Summary: In Imperial glory you once again set out to conquer europe and parts of northern africa, having the option of 5 empires to rule who change little exept for the option of millitia whit clubs for some and geographical location, like how england benefits greatly from a major sea power. The Sea battles can be controlled however the controlls are clumsy, in field battles it is not so much tactics as it is who has the most men on the field or who has the best cavalry, exept of...
Pros: low cost, doesnt need as much PC power
Cons: not a lot of tactics, sea battles hard to control.
Summary: Over the past few days, I have been playing Imperial glory the game, after bying it a few years ago. I picked itup cheap (dont really know why) and just never ended up playing it...but now i have :o. The game is based in Europe during the napoleonic period, wit the map spanning down to the north reaches of Africa. However the game holds no accurate historical detail, apart from the quests (see below) are named for example...'Industrial revolution'.
Pros: Mildly addictive...a foot in a right direction
