More fun than you could shake your joystick at.

Bateyes, Play.com
28 December 2007
  • Conclusion: This is the final release of the long running IL2 series and brings with it at huge number of maps, planes and ground objects. There are 2 more free addons to this game available online as well as a host of free missions campaigns and plane skins. You will get the best from this game if you use a joystick. The game runs well on mid range graphics cards. If you like online play the you will need a copy of hyperlobby, as the inbuilt online interface is rarely used.

All you need for WWII combat flight simming

NightshifterIL2, Play.com
28 December 2007
  • Conclusion: This is the final expansion of this superb series of games and is EVERYTHING you need to play online. Once you have installed this all you need is the 4.08 patch and you are set to play online with the rest of the community. I have been playing this series since 2004 so I know what I am saying when I tell you it is the best - how many other games out there have been played since 2001 and are still going very strong such as this title?

What a game!

Simma94, Play.com
28 December 2007
  • Conclusion: This game provides what I think is the most realistic of all the plane games, including such as the "Ace Combat" series. The realism of the planes is amazing. The graphics are good and it probably has over a hundred different levels. It's also Vista compatible, so all you nerds out there - don't worry. This game should really be played with a joystick, but it is just as fun when played on a keyboard.
