Terrible game, not worth your time

Jesrober, Amazon
9 December 2014
  • Summary: Terrible game, not worth your time. It has very little the player can actually do and they're are not enough patients. I lost interest in about 20 minutes.

Should have gotten Theme Hospital

R. Zaleski "LuciH", Amazon
2 September 2013
  • Summary: Not a very good game. Has a dumb plot in the story mode which is just a long restrictive tutorial. And the sandbox mode is only engaging for about an hour

No massive amounts of PTS

Jeffrey S. Stroup, Amazon
6 June 2013
  • Summary: The game is ok for about 3 hours then its like... Wheres all the pts.. I played about 20 hours beat the game but I never had more than 10 patients at a time which was REALLY BORING. It was a 2 DR to 1 PT ratio....

User Review

Quadlex, Metacritic
27 January 2012
  • Summary: There is a problem with simulation games, and that is that it's easy to have them turn into generic click-fests. Without dynamic challenges, you're soon forced into repeating the same tasks, sucking all the charm from everything. And unfortunately, that about wraps up Hospital Tycoon.

Lots of bugs, too easy to beat.

CDubya, Amazon
21 December 2011
  • Summary: This game is riddled with bugs, I kept having to start a level over because something would get stuck. Even with all that, I beat it the day after I got it. Very easy once you figure it out. Overall I liked it, but it was too easy to beat and too buggy.

Theme Hospital is So Much Better

Emily, Amazon
10 October 2009
  • Summary: This game was very boring because there was hardly any challenge at all and there's not much to do. Get Theme Hospital instead. The promotional materials make a big deal about how the doctors have different personalities but this doesn't seem to affect game play in any way.

Much less fun than Theme Hospital

Nico1908 "NTF", Amazon
18 January 2008
  • Summary: I played this game in storymode for a day or two. Here are my main points of criticism: * There is an aerial view, but you can't use it to place new rooms. * Staff is hard to direct; you can't just pick them up and place them where they're needed.

It Worked For Me, But...

John P Bernat, Amazon
18 August 2007
  • Summary: My copy of this game worked OK after some initial bugginess, so I do not share the same concerns expressed by the earlier review. I guess my concern is that even the fully-functional version is not highly playable.

Poor Imitation

lynnmc1, Ciao
11 October 2012
  • Excerpt: bought this game after completing the theme hospital game, from the look of the game I thought it'd be the same thing with some new levels. It was similar, the idea of the game is the same to build and improve upon ready built hospitals by placing new rooms, equipment, decor and managing staff.
  • Pros: Children may like it
  • Cons: Poor graphics, glitches and boredom

Fun for a while... but the game is unfinished

Julie Winthrop, Amazon
27 January 2008
  • Summary: I was hoping this game would be a good replacment for Theme Hospital, it does capture most of the fun and feel of TH. Hospital Tycoon is fun for a while, but then it gets boring. You will never have many patients in your hospital, so your hospital will be a ghost hospital.
