Summary: Ok, at the risk of being labeled a spoil-sport, I'll say I didn't like Homeworld. The concept is creative, the design elegant, the graphics impressive, the soundtrack awesome. The AI is dim-witted; the interface ridiculous, and the gameplay annoying.
Excerpt: Homeworld is not the best rpg game in the world. The graphics are a tiny bit unreal, i mean who wants box and triangle people. But the game makes up for this with striking battling scenes and huge areas to explore. When i played a copy of homeworld i was not impressed with the controls.
Summary: Homeworld is one of the best games i have played in a long time. As the first real time strategy game to take place in a truly three dimensional setting, Homeworld is definitly a landmark game. Not only is it the first of it's kind, it's also extremely addictive and fun.
Summary: I really wanted to like this game, after all, it looks incredible and seems to have captured it's own segment of the market to the detriment of many others. Sadly though, for me it's really lacking something.
Excerpt: When I firdt loaded up this game I thought that it was really really pretty with good graphics and an excellent musical score. The interfface is pretty easy to use and your ships seem to do what they are told to most of the time. But however there is something about this game I do not like.
Excerpt: I felt a bit cheated on buying this. I'd downloaded the demo months before, and had whipped myself up into a frenzy of purchasing excitement, but the complete game just didn't live up to my (admittedly rather high) expectations. Homeworld is a 3d real time strategy shoot-stuff-in-space game.
